Xeon usage in Challenger Intel legacy Round

Update on the rules: Only Intel LGA 2011, LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA1150, LGA775, LGA771 or older single CPU sockets are allowed (no other server or ES hardware) single Xeon CPUs allowed up to max of 6 cores!!! So yes you can use your Sandy-E based Xeon CPUs on LGA2011 @Speedy22 The DDR4 2011-3 platform is out of the question as its way better per IPC than X79... with BW-E CPUS and BDIE memory, 3400C11 is perfectly possible... -

2011-3 is NOT 2011, I added this line: Only Intel LGA 2011, LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA1150, LGA775, LGA771 or older single CPU sockets are allowed (no other server or ES hardware) can everybody live with that... seems 2011 is also popular and wide spread... -

K updating the rules to allow Xeon up to 1366 socket, adding single socket setups only and allowing lga 2011 for regular CPUs -

Well you look at it wrongly Bolc... participating is not the same as I want to win the Division, I wanted it to be open too many so you can have fun without the need for LN2 or other exotic cooling. So we allow Xeons for up to LGA1366 (what the poll was about), but not on LGA2011 Socket wise no issues with X79 or such, efficiency on the newer sockets seems superior (so far) -

X265 has OHM monitoring tool build in. But you have to tick the monitoring box before starting the benchmark. Maybe we could impose this as rule -

yep it does, but that already gives you an indication where the freq is at approx,... I think the Redux reports are more related to how can he reach this score at eg 1600Mhz... Some benchies work better with e.g. C-states enabled... what do you do with all the subs that have slow mode on ? Or all of them scores that downclocked a few multies to be sure to save the screenshot.... If people report the actual frequency it was run at, I'm fine with it.... OC is never gonna be foolproof, no matter how many rules we will imply, people will always will find a way to circumvent -

well to me the rule is weird as X265 already detects the freq the processor will max out at when the bench is running...
