  1. Specially for Stavros the CSGO expert
  2. If I tell you 7.62 is 200-300 points faster than any 8 version for some platforms, then the above is not valid
  3. Due to Bala dropping out we still have one spot free in the BnB, at +/- 5 mins drive from the venue. The BNB was booked from friday evening till monday morning... if we split costs it would be around 55-60 euro's /person for the 3 nites.
  4. Need to get that board fixed first...
  5. Arrival the 28th , leaving the 6th with Emirates you have an updated link, can't find it anywhere on their site
  6. I know but I expected way more than a mere 2 secs on a similar platform, biggest difference should be XP versus 8.1, a bunnyextractionload more volts, higher mem speeds,...
  7. Well I ran Win 8.1 64bit OS, 2 sticks at 3733C12, CPU at 4Ghz and had a time of 5 sec less...no wazaa, no nothing XP should be way faster for Pi
  8. darn man, sorry to hear...
  9. Well with modern games being more and more multithreaded even a 3.5Ghz CPU is more than plenty, unless you do more than multi GPU/screens (not your case) Well yes OC the GPU, is more beneficial than OCing a modern CPU to be honest for daily gaming. Good luck man, update us on how far you can push it for daily gaming!! and keep track of them temps!!! A tip: Afterburner allows you to display an OSD ( On Screen display ) during the gaming so you can monitor everything while in the game.
  10. @MetalRacer: Interesting development your old java was the fastest one or did you use an 8 version ? What was the points increase from that version to the 9 one?
  11. 4000Mhz seems impressive , but the PI 32M time is so slow...
  12. Well if you don't have enough paste it won't work again Allen... I glued back the IHS in the beginning and it took me a while to figure out my clearance was not enough. So if I had the crack the paste was literally a goner... -120 pot temps was +40 on idle, heating up made it only worse... So the clearance needs to be correct... It will always crack in my book after some time, hence why many re-apply the paste before doing a new session...
  13. The dynamic OC that you refer too is dependant on the load of the different cores and the heat generated... how your bios is setup and the power saving settings in your OS If you want to push check if the XTU slider can adjust the CPU Voltage and that it is effectively set by monitoring the voltage reading in eg CPU-Z If you want higher clocks it goes hand in hand with higher voltages, but always check the temperatures... find a balance! For your graphics card you can download an OC tool like MSI Afterburner and gradually clock your GPU core clocks up with 25MHz. Same can be done for the GPU's memory. Just test with your fav games, if it runs withotu locking up and temps are still okay , clock up... For gaming OCing the GPU is way more beneficial in FPS gain than OCing your CPU
  14. I'm still testing on watercooling... I ran before like Wizerty suggested with one layer of scotch black tape... so I guess 1-2 spacers is plenty ... rest might be overkill...
  15. mister Dancop Spraaaaaaave is inbound
  16. Have some bend pins, triple channel only atm... can still be tightened G.skill 3600C17 @ 3333C11-11-11-28 at 1.69Vdimm
  17. WE ARE WATCHING YOU SCOTTIE
  18. Just to clarify what happened Nick. I saw Dougs comments on the score and jumped straight on it... Checking the validity of Dougs reasoning. He was right that this was an old score, dating back form 2015. Talked to Dancop and he agreed to pull the score. I send Doug a PM the matter has been sort of resolved and he told me he had seen enough and deleted his account... His choice, but sad to see him leave. Now we can just to do our best to make it as fair as possible... We are all still learning to make these competitions as much fun and the rules as bullet proof possible. Next time a competition background will be introduced to avoid the re-usage of old / backup scores. On another note: even though Dancop might be sponsored by numerous vendors might not be a limitation for his chances of entring a competition. He is nr1 of the world for a reason. And believe me he devotes a lot of time and still invests a lot of his own money to maintain his current ranking. Believe me being sponsored brings a lot of pressure. You guys are great benchers, but like you said it has to be worth your time and dedication... by all means it has to remain fun...
  19. How many runs is this ? I tried 10 consecutieve runs on a 2600K, 3770K, 4770K & 5960x and didn't get any significant boost with the new 9 106-107 Java version versus my preferred ones ( version depending on the CPUs )... usually the new 9 version was even slower lol... We are looking for a whopping boost of +400/500points as with Skylake...
