No, UP4 is not better, I've had both boards -

Yeah, I thought the same. I can only run it on Crosshair IV Formula and it manages to complete GT1 and GT3 only. On GT2 and Nature it just loses signal to monitor. Will hand it down to a teammate anyway, since I'm going to run a different slot card and will cross my fingers it works on his board -

I tried ours as well on 2 Gigabyte UD3 boards (rev3 and rev4) - no post, no beep. It worked awfully on Crosshair IV Formula, couldn't even finish the bench - it lost signal and monitor went into power saving mode. -

Ok, I didn't want to be harsh, but - K APUs are only allowed for Bulgaria and Belgium. The latter is allowed, because sometimes Bulgaria is misconsidered as Belgium. A plain loophole in the rules, but I can accept it this time. I'm being generous, that's all Proof: -
Most of the hardware I've killed is just out of plain stupidity, exception being some recent APU (3 pieces) and UP4 FM2 board deaths. I usually overdo the insulation, so no moisture problems of any kind. I'm always careful with the boards, since I pay them from my wallet and can't afford killing hardware due to a bad insulation.

Impressive CPU frequency. I wonder what would be the max valid and the max 32M freq with pscheck. Raw power saves your @ss for now -

He already replied to the same question earlier in the thread (can't find it atm, but should be there) and I'm afraid Rasparthe is right. If you want to use another Richland chip together with 6800K, best possible one is 6400K. Despite the different model number, they still share the same core name (Devastator' in the hwbot db) - similar to, for instance, HD7950 and HD7970. PS: By the way, there's another limitation for USA and Germany - you guys are not allowed to use any of the K (unlocked multi) chips. That's what I heard... I'm sure Leeghoofd will confirm! -
You only have to do a simple google query and open the second result It takes more to write the question in this thread than finding the solution on google.

Yes, same happened to my UP4 in the Gigabyte contest - died and took the APU with it..on stock speeds (or it was the APU that killed the board, can't tell). Then it killed 5800K too when I tried to check if the board is ok. My current board Asrock 2A85X Extreme6 seems much more stable. But APUs die "easily" with 1.6+ vNB/vGPU. -

So what's the situation with Aquamark? I'm back from a business trip and I want to bench Aquamark. Will a score with v2.26/2.27 still eligible? -

There's some problem with single core A64. It was simply not starting the bench. If I kill the wrapper then the aquamark loads, otherwise it just displays 2 "windows" half-open - one white for the wrapper and one black for aquamark. Using auto settings. However it works on my multi-core 24/7 machine. Maybe it's my crippled XP, I don't know. -

Then you need to change the requirement on the competition page, because now it says cpu socket Thanks for the really quick answer! -

Is it REALLY by cpu socket and when was that changed? Old requirement was by cpu core. from here: http://hwbot.org/news/9988_hwbot_announces_fifth_edition_of_country_cup_2013_edition_starts_november_1/ -

4GHz is kinda ok for latest Intel generation, but for older chips it will take looooong. I guess the idea is to make it accessible for all people with all kind of cooling. Aquamark should be all cpu on older generations And I will beat you with intel, promise -

If we only can win them... Good luck everyone, but you don't have any chance this year . You can freely fight for the 2nd place though. -
That's what I meant - supply the pre-programmed chip and other components in a DIY kit, so the buyer can solder it by himself. Not that soldering takes a lot of time, but I guess it will still save him some time.
