Then you need to change the requirement on the competition page, because now it says cpu socket Thanks for the really quick answer! -

Is it REALLY by cpu socket and when was that changed? Old requirement was by cpu core. from here: http://hwbot.org/news/9988_hwbot_announces_fifth_edition_of_country_cup_2013_edition_starts_november_1/ -

4GHz is kinda ok for latest Intel generation, but for older chips it will take looooong. I guess the idea is to make it accessible for all people with all kind of cooling. Aquamark should be all cpu on older generations And I will beat you with intel, promise -

If we only can win them... Good luck everyone, but you don't have any chance this year . You can freely fight for the 2nd place though. -
That's what I meant - supply the pre-programmed chip and other components in a DIY kit, so the buyer can solder it by himself. Not that soldering takes a lot of time, but I guess it will still save him some time.
-
Just and idea. Maybe you can offer a DIY kit. It would be easier for you without the need for soldering everything on the PCB by yourself/friends, plus the amount of elements needed isn't that big. Everything can be soldered with a regular soldering iron (if you know your stuff) and you can actually find most of the components pretty easy everywhere. Perhaps offer a full set and a basic set, so one can use their own smd capacitors, usb connector, 3-pin connect, etc. PS: If Massman can do it, then everyone can

I'll take ryba's pot. Will PM you my details later. Shipping to Bulgaria, so it should be a standard price.

It should be a mistake. No matter which week it was submitted you still have to get a prize. Only CherV is infront of you and she gets the overall winner anyway. Also I thought scores are carried over the different weeks, but it seems if I was sandbagging and submitting one result each week with just 10pts difference between them I'd get a prize, but now with a 4th overall score in 3DM11 rankings I don't get anything. It seems that I could even submit a lower score for the last week and still get a prize, lol. Anyway, it was just for fun after all. -
You can see what temps you get for the transistorsin the die, so the cores, all the transistors and the on-die VRM's heat up the whole PCB. These capactiros can be left uncovered, just like they originally are, but it's just an extra measure since you're using a liquid metal which you don't want to end up accidentally shorting the capacitors. Also it is adviseable for people that have no experience with delidding to stay away from this procesudre, because there is a high chance to chop off some of these capacitors if you're not careful enough. I don't have a Haswell myself, but I've delidded a lot of the old AMD chips.
-
They are just smd capacitors, nothing more. And you would be safer if you cover them with a tape, or even better - liquid tape or something similar. In any means something not electrically conductive and resistent to high temperature.

alacca - A4-3400 @ 6161.4MHz - 6161.39 mhz CPU Frequency
I.nfraR.ed replied to gigioracing's topic in Result Discussions
Impossible. Multiplier of this cpu is locked down to x27. Most of the validations with this cpu are bugged. If the bclk is right, then the real frequency is 3537MHz. -

Congrats to the winners! Impressive APU, CherV. Yesterday I tried my second APU that has better IMC together with PSC too, but couldn't get it stable at 1400 7-10-7, 7-11-7, 8-11-8. Almost did a good run. It is dead, but I'm not sorry, it was 7.6GHz max. With a really good IMC it might be possible 1450+ with PSC, but mine stops at 1400 benchable with Samsung. Couldn't even get another APU last week, because they were out of stock everywhere -
15 euro is the maximum for which you don't have to pay and go to the customs. Between 15 and 150 you only pay VAT and duty (no duty for electronics, but this is not ). Above 150 you need to write customs declaration, pay VAT and duty and not sure what else. Declaring it 10-15 euro in the notes when sent most probably won't do the trick, because it would be heavy and they will check what's inside. They won't even understand what is this, so I will have to go there with explanation. Not that it will get much better when I tell them what actually this is
-
Thanks for the offer, but if it gets stopped in the customs I'll have to pay additional $36-40 and that does not sound too good compared to a completely new unit from Germany. I don't want to cheat and show a lowered value, so I will have to present the actual payment price
-
Looking for as cheap as possible, but good performing, used universal slim gpu pot. PM me the price if you have one for sale. Shipping to Europe, Bulgaria. Pament via paypal, I'm paying the taxes. Want to avoid importing it from outside EU, so I really prefer offers from EU to skip customs.

Although I'm not competitive at the highest level, I can only agree the format is a little unfair. IMO this is the biggest flaw of MOA. Ofcourse not saying T0lsty is not a great overclocker, sure he is. Congrats for the win!

Wiz, it's the IMC of your APU. First APU was max 1290, second one good for around 1400 9-12-11. Board is flawless for me, except that only 1169 multi gets me okayish scores. Try higher VDDP. Hazzan is untouchable for me
