  1. 5 should be good up to 2800 and is much faster than 6, but you are right is should gain a bit for higher mhz runs.
  2. ^ no the early valids for 7Ghz required 2.5vcore and 3.04 input, much higher than any retail can probably take.
  3. I had to:D Congrats man that is a monster for sure.
  4. Replacement chip is not so good, it needs about 1.34v for 5Ghz 32M.
  5. Thanks for the link, but I can for sure tell you I set 2.9v for input voltage and 2.2v for vcore and cpuz reads vcore exactly as that. All voltages were adjusted in the OS with TurboV. The M6E has never read vcore differently than what is set in the bios, at least in the all the bios's I have tested.
  6. L312B332 5Ghz 32M 4c 8t 1.28v dead stuck at post code 78. I have two more of the same batch with very close serials.
  7. Retail, I would feel soooo bad killing Ryan's cpu, glad I decided to try the retail 4770K first, but 2.2 vcore and 2.9 input at -120c resulted in a reboot and constant post code 78 after that. Cache voltage (a.k.a. ring bus, uncore) was at 1.6v for 5000. I swapped cpu's and out today and see if I can take it a bit easier on this one as retail c0's are not able to handle high voltages it seems.
  8. Be careful guys, they die pretty easy even under cold the first shee pee uuu is dead.
  9. then you need single sided MFR:)
  10. Who cares how high it goes, it is good for competive 32M benching on air, almost as fast as cold PSC.
  11. Nabbed a few at a local Fry's they seemed to have an over abundance of stock, all Malay though not a single Costa.
  12. lets get things started:) PSC Samsung MFR 4Ghz b0 is inferior to c0 prepping to go cold on the 4670K atm, should have results in a bit
  13. ^I like it:D Could not have done it without your help CL3P20!
  14. ^So much weird right now lol
  15. Sick run Gyrock-san! trcd 11 is hard at those speeds.
  16. I see now that you are both using the same gear from last year's MOA, but iirc the ram they specced were a Kingston 2400 c11, which both of you are not using. Where did I even mention vga clocks being similar? No bugging here buddy just posting noticeable things from your screens. Regardless, those scores are monster and I know a lot of hard work, time and money went in to them, so congratulations.
  17. Thanks all, more mods and more testing as I have both cards, but the 7790 with real cold and volts seems like it is going to be a winner, especially with the no tessellation advantage. I was hoping this would be enough as I don't have a backup (yet) for this card.
  18. Same cpu (very similar clocks and volts), same mobo, and ram as Rbuass huh? Guess the three different cpuz windows will fix that, it sure looks different lol
  19. Excellent run man, glad to see you getting 32M dialed!
