  1. So on a whim decided to test some BBSE under LN2 as I have never had good results with BBSE under LN2. pro tips for the community: Vccio and vccsa must be tuned perfectly (per Crusty) in my case 1.104 vccio and 1.153 vccsa Vttdr at auto on this kit is fine (0.764 is auto setting on OC Formula, thanks again Crusty). On my other kits 0.85v on air is fine for 2600 8-11-7 so go figure Clocking on air means nothing for BBSE as this kit would not even post at 2600 c8 at any volts, so all those sticks that went in the reject pile because no 2600 8-11-7 on air need to be retested under cold, making binning BBSE that much more fun:) Look for extra hot running ic's, (totally a hunch) but this kit was running so hot on air, I thought my k probe was broken or out of calibration, and hence decided to vas them and try them under cold. The final thing, your IMC must be able to handle the strain induced by BBSE. I could boot from bios as high as 2800 7-10-7 but absolutely no stability at anything above 2600, so pretty sure the IMC is what is holding me back. 2.1v was fine for all of the screens below. . . Hypers have nothing on good BBSE frosty pics shortly
  2. These really are good sticks, if they ever came out in dual sided 2GB flavor they would be pretty epic as they love volts and cold making them an ideal candidate for subzero memory benching. I still think they are good for validation purposes and not to mention fun to bench. Only dimms I have that can do trrsr 4 at 2800 and with only 1.78v
  3. c6 tWCL is 6 the killer isn't it? Top notch results as usual Bullant!
  4. ^Yes that sounds awesome Sam, I have some kits to share as well:)
  5. Thanks jjjc it is nice to find dimms which operate so well under cold, and clock so nicely. Thanks Bullant thanks for being the baseline to chase:) Your 4Ghz time seems untouchable. I wonder what it would take to kill dimms when they are almost full pot:D
  6. Thanks PJ, I have another set that came bundled with these from Greece to test:). This maybe the best set of PSC I own that I have tested under cold, as the Flare 2000 c7's could not run c6 tWCL 6 at any speed and these hummed right along, almost 9 hours straight and not one 55 was had. Though to be honest, I think Petri's advice definitely helped the most, and that is to use the heat spreaders. This setup consisted of the plates from the SF3D Triple Point pot along with the KPC Ney Pro cooler attached to them. No TIM was used, though I wonder if this would make any difference (Christian input here:)) I think this kit can run full pot as -150c was no issue for the memory, where other PSC kits I have would cb at a shade over -108c-110c
  7. ^ I wish, you know the OCF is limited to 2.1v:)
  8. l0ud_sil3nc3 - 6:16:531 - 49x102.1 - 1326.8MHz - 6-9-7-28-88-1 - Asrock Z77 OC Formula - G.Skill PI 2300 8-11-8-28 2x2GB (PSC) - 2.1v - LN2 @ all this might have been the one. . . this maybe the only screen with c6 / tWCL 6 run, I have to work extra hard since my efficiency is not the best and c7 was not cutting it. This literally took hours of time, blood (not kidding) and an unreal amount of screaming when fail would occur post loop 20. and mandatory frosty pics. . . next time going for the gold:)
  9. Buy a binned chip or wait for new gear in two months:) Binned Ivy chips should be getting pretty cheap now with the imminent release of Haswell coming.
  10. that is absolutely killer.
  11. both cards still on air? Awesome result regardless!
