  1. yeah just picked a random one from all the lines going to the x48, didn't pay much attention what it specifically was. But the datalines go to the x48 too like they should.
  2. ...and if you put them in the freezer for a while remember it. I just spent half an hour searching my favorite kit turning my whole place upside down only to remember I had put them in the freezer a while back to recover a bit...
  3. tbh, as much as I like BCLK, I would really like if there was a way to prevent "duplicate sockets", because 775/771 and 1151v1 and 1151v2 will make this somewhat boring in some way... 771 I wouldn't have an issue if its counting the board, but 1151v1/v2 shouldn't be a thing for comps like these...
  4. The Cascade is T.Rex's Cascade and from what I've seen it can do -90 to -95 on Core 2 Duos no matter the voltage and -93 for single core high leakage Nehalem/-78 multicore. The SS is a little Devil unit (also T.Rex's) I believe and it does about -30 on the NB. Glad to know someone who's benching gear I can use while visiting for a benchweekend
  5. Nope not really, both technically work but one of them randomly killed 2 sticks of 2000c7 Hypers on startup at stock settings last weekend so its going back to the seller. Not gonna use a cursed board even if it can do 1040 6-7-5 and 657 valid on air
  6. It's a P5E3 Premium. Voltage is only at 1.7V since I couldn't get more clock with more voltage, but I think the limiting factor is currently me since 775 is still new to me. Doubt the board is at it fsb limit for 32M though.
  7. Could’ve been better but the board is still new to me, need to learn the platform properly. Doubt the chip is even close to its limits yet
  8. Really doubting this is the limit of the board, I'm still quite new to the platform (with decent boards maybe 30 hours cold and 2-3 hours ambient testing). Board was booting 655 fsb with high memory frequency but at lower memory it has a lot more trouble but I'm scared for my hypers.
  9. Also wondering if tighter memory timings would help. I have one P5E3-Premium that works best at CL6...
  10. Gotta say here, December is really impractical for a lot of people, at least for me it is. A longer gap between TC and CC also won't hurt tbh. Just my opinion here, agree or disagree.
  11. Is there a good guide to reflash the SPD on Hypers? I'm not sure if its the issue but before writing them off I would rather try it before throwing them out. I have a kit of 1866c7 2GB Hypers that were at first misbehaving (only being recognised as half capacity - 1 stick booted up was being recognised as 1GB, 2 sticks as 2GB) and then stopped working completely while a buddy of mine has a pair of GTX2s that went from working perfectly fine to not working at all. How to reflash SPD without messing them up? I've tried with Rweverything manually copying over from a working stick but that didn't work, now I have no idea what else could work - at least I couldn't get SPDtool to work yet / couldn't figure out how exactly it works...
  12. Thats some crazy clocks for Dice, wow! Considered taking the NB cold too?
  13. I think if you are spending 80+shipping on 775 chips you are most likely looking for a chip thats good for gold on cold too which kinda defeats the purpose ^^ Good luck with sale anyways.
  14. After login I also end up on this page (safari and chrome) also erroring out if not logged in. https://hwbot.org/user/ground1556/ (confirmed by people in US and Germany). It appears that not everyone is running into this issue. Maybe something messed up with the database? Edit: Looking at other broken profiles, it seems to only affect team captains. Been checking through all the top 10 teams and all the captains are bugged out.
  15. Have you benched anything on cold? If not, start with something cheap first... I know a fair lot of people who learned that the hard way. Plastidip is a pain to remove if not applied in a thick enough layer (spent half a day trying to remove leftovers from an x58a-oc recently), and even then it can be stuck under components and hard to remove. Eraser - depending on how flat the surface you are insulating is, can be fairly alright to remove but not exactly fun. Vaseline - not too hard to remove with liquid Shop towel - nothing on the board basically, but I've never had much luck with this, always had condensation issues after a little while
