    LOL... Highest I've gotten is 25, but that was on a 965BE at 3.8GHz... just testing known tweaks before going for full speed.

    WOW man... That is very big of you to publish this. I know Stelaras had it almost figured out, but you could have kept the other steps for yourself and still had an advantage. The way Stelaras published it; it works some times and it doesn't other times. This is going to turn PCM05 scores upside down. Sebas

    I'm not a tweakaholic! I swear! I can stop tweaking PCM05 any time I want to.... Now just leave me alone! God; this family sucks! Nope; I'm not addicted. What? Who's there? Stop looking at me dammit! :chair: I did finally go to sleep like at 4AM this morning; could only manage a couple hours of sleep though. I usually don't sleep much, but this time was different; I had PCM05 nightmares for the first time ever. Maybe I need to dial it down a bit? Or maybe I just need to find the dang tweak so I can move on to obsessing about something else. Hey Alex... Como van las cosas en BsAs? Dale saludos a los bencheros de por alla.

    This damn tweak has become the bane of my existence... I've done so many runs of that sub-test looking for it that I fear I may be starting to dislike the bench all together. I need to find this thing before it ruins PCM05 for me.

    Oh wow! You've got me very confused now. It looks like there are some sleepless nights waiting for me... My OCF team mates can tell you how obsessive I am when it comes to PCM05.

    I have watched this video about 20 times trying to see if I can spy some hint as to what the tweak is. Can't figure it out. I'll keep trying... I truly enjoy the hell out of seeking these things out. Might it have anything to do with DWM in the registry?

    That's fine man. We all make mistakes. Just run the 1M test and submit a new score. This one is going to be removed by one of the mods.

    Sorry to disappoint my friend, but you ran Spi 16K not Spi 1M. You need to re run the test with the correct setting and fix your time.

    Simple. HWBot's own dictatorial overlord deemed them to be legal. More seriously; I think it has to do with the fact that "tweaking" some OS settings or other environment settings in order to improve performance is kindda what we're all here for. So as long as what you tweak does not affect the actual benchmark itself, or take advantage of "unapproved" software... The tweaks are recognized as legal.

    Gotta go with no on this one. The "No points until NDA lift" rule is enough. It's not HWBot's job to make sure that people have access to the same HW at the same time; it's not HWBot's job to adjust so that the people that can't buy the HW don't have their scores beaten. And it's not the guy's fault that he lives in a country that got stock of the card before another country... That's the world we live in; there are large markets and there are small markets, and people living in large markets will more often than not get the latest HW before those living in smaller markets. And then there is the main concern I have... You start adding/modifying rules just to please a segment of the community and pretty soon there will be another group asking for a new rule because they feel they're getting an unfair share. Just recognize that you won't always be able to please everyone and implement the rules that make the site better with the least amount of overhead.

    Though I agree with you in principle; and besides the fact that I'd also prefer to have the cap removed, or at least a provision like knop suggests put in place... I also think that the cap can be viewed as an added challenge. It takes skill getting a setup that can easily do 1500+MB/s on startup to stay under 220. Some may argue that it is a matter of just finding out the size of the file to copy/paste, but that number will change from cpu to cpu and from motherboard to motherboard... So benchers will still have to "tweak" their setups to come just under the cap, but close enough to it to maximize their points from that sub-test. If I ever get the sort of HW that would put me in the position to have to mess with file transfers to slow my storage setup down; I will look at that as a challenge rather than a hindrance.
