Why is it so hard , for some people to understand simple things ??? Simple thing. E.S. ARE MADE FOR INDOOR TESTING They are not meant to hit the public. They belong inside the labs and should stay there. Why should i be in the same ranking category with an E.S. result ? Is that considered fair ? They usually (not always) carry an advantage over the retails. Most of the times is good binning or better thermal behaviour. It's not only a CPU matter. There are plenty other hardware with advantage. Example = RAM The super WOW ram modules binned by the factories for a specific event , or even special made modules with chosen one by one memory chips , made to hit the TOP. That special product competes with POINTS. It's not only the top place or world record that satisfies them ... they also want points for it. To be fair. Some people have the honesty to disable points. Some others dont. They want points for them and their team. Claps , claps !!! Yeahhhh , way to go mate , you're the one !!! You want E.S. ranked ? Rank them in a separate category by their own , period.

Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force - Questions , problems
TASOS replied to TASOS's topic in General hardware discussion
That's exactly how i do it. But everytime i change the multi to 2600 , it stucks at C0 for a few seconds , then it shuts down and restarts in safe mode. I need to test with a different cpu , i cant think of anything else. Why CFR and samsung are so easy ... and PSC are so strict ? -
ok , then. Do we have to report ALL of this guy's submissions ? http://hwbot.org/user/mtc/ or is there an automated self destruction routine for these ?

Thanks for the info. I have already used it. Still , the best i could do on PSC , was 2400 8-11-7-28 1T. I suspect that is caused , by the lack of straps. I'm on 100 only. -
Do we have anykind of changes about current ES hardware usage ? I ask cause i wrote something in this thread http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?p=317459#post317459 but , now i cant find the part in rules , where the ES is forbidden ... and i wonder if i made a mistake ?

Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force - Questions , problems
TASOS replied to TASOS's topic in General hardware discussion
That's how i do it till now. I'm experimenting my settings on advanced manual mode. I still dont have the memory profiles available , even in F7a beta bios. I dont have a "k" cpu and i suspect that this is the reason why. For the same reason (i think) , i dont have all the straps available , so i'm kind of limited in options , untill the retail k series cpu hit the market. -

TASOS replied to TASOS's topic in General hardware discussion
Should i also write here , about memory overclocking problems ? or should i write them in sin0822 o/c guide thread ??? Well , long story short , is that (at least my efforts) Hynix CFR clocks as expected Samsungs clock a bit lower than usual PSC is a disaster !!! I dont have any access to any of those ready-set memory profiles , so the results are based on my own limited knowledge. -

Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force The good points Nice looking board ! Well equipped !! Theoretically very well build in terms of both hardware and software !!! But ... As a new product , there are some things that perhaps need minor adjustments ? or bios development ? I dont really now , that's why i opened this thread. I run into a few minor problems , and i'm looking for a solution. A. I cant operate the board with a pci vga card. A recent generation of a DX11 HD5450. The vga is a perfectly working card , tested on an other motherboard. Whenever i plug it in , an exclamation appears in device manager (pci to pci bridge) driver. The card doesnt accept any version of AMD drivers (new or old) to be installed. Tried re-installing system drivers , vga drivers , new windows7 os install ... nothing changed. Same result on both pci slot's. B. Tried an other (pci-e this time) HD4350. Tested and perfectly working vga. The system booted the 1st time as a standard vga and after installation of the proposed 13.9 AMD drivers ... BSOD all the way. Tried older version of drivers , nothing changed. Tried the first two pci-e slots. Now i'm working the board with an HD7870 with no problems. For the record , i had the same results-problems using bios version F5 , X04 , F6. Open to suggestions. /
