  1. Somebody must update the 1st post. Especially with the retail results , that are usefull to regular users.
  2. I had asked the exact same thing in the past and was told that this limitation is for security reasons.
  3. Yes in Windows XP SP3 , it doesnt show a score.
  4. He did that to a couple members of my team also.
  5. This is my easy 5G validation. I can boot to windows with this voltage and run something light like 1M http://www.hwbot.org/submission/2448296_tasos_cpu_frequency_core_i7_4930k_5009.93_mhz/ And this 5.2G is on the edge (watercooled). http://www.hwbot.org/submission/2448300_tasos_cpu_frequency_core_i7_4930k_5200_mhz
  6. We have similar fpo/batch. (mine is 3325A911) der8auer also has (had) a similar one. Ours are 4930k though. I can cinebench @ 4.9 with 1.38 volt watercooled. @5Ghz i need +0.12 volt and temps are raising fast. I need less than 1.2 volt (s.a.) for 3000 Mhz superpi32m But every cpu (and imc) is unique and yours might need some extra voltage for high mem clocks. I believe that anything under 1.20 for both vtt and sa , is supersafe.
  7. The 1st time i tried for a max. memory speed with these two good looking sticks , i was on a 3770k and Asus MVG , with everything air-cooled. I got an amazing 1572 Mhz http://hwbot.org/submission/2368903_tasos_memory_clock_ddr3_sdram_1572.2_mhz/ Back then , i was almost certain , it was my IMC that was the limiting factor. Cause later at a subzero effort , the result was the same. In fact it was more a bclk limitation on 2933 divider. Now at my 2nd try with these sticks , still air-cooled , i got the result below , on a X79 Asus RIVE. I couldnt believe that an Ivy on X79 , could push these hynix CFR so far. (even for just a max validation). http://hwbot.org/submission/2444026_tasos_memory_clock_ddr3_sdram_1655.1_mhz Now i'm still curious , if this is the end for this sticks ... or it's my IMC again. I know i have an upsolute max 189.67 bclk on 166 strap with this board. http://hwbot.org/submission/2434844_tasos_reference_clock_rampage_iv_extreme_189.67_mhz I've got to find a Haswell system ... it's the only way.
  8. It's very obvious and perhaps they dont even know that this is not allowed. Someone must talk to them. I see it's a new team with only 4 members and HWSW is the team captain. ... Also it's not only the above 2 results they shared. http://hwbot.org/submission/2426628_hwsw_pcmark_2005_core_i3_550_21822_marks http://hwbot.org/submission/2426661_alonewolf_pcmark_2005_core_i3_550_21587_marks There's plenty more ...
  9. From what i have read ... The bios flashback methology (in this case) works only if your board has a bios version 4004 and later.
  10. I use this version provided by shammino , and it works fine.
  11. That's the problem. It doesnt let you do the conversion. I was in the same place as mcnico63 , a week ago. read here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?276839-ASUS-Official-X79-Motherboards-Support-Thread&p=5207481&viewfull=1#post5207481
  12. Sorry , but it wont work. The procedure you wrote is correct. But it wont accept the bios flash , with an Ivy-E cpu. You must have an SB-E cpu to do that. Especially if it has an old ROM type bios.
  13. I had the same problem with my RIVE and 4930k. You need a Sandy Bridge-E cpu , so that you can flash to the latest bios (that supports Ivy Bridge-E). If your board has an early bios (ROM type) you need to do the conversion to CAP first (with bios 2105)
  14. How is your IMC like ? Have you tested with PSC or BBSE ?
  15. // update here Upsolute max on air-cooling (temp related) 4.82Ghz cinebench @ 1.36 volt http://hwbot.org/submission/2428248_tasos_cinebench_r11.5_core_i7_4930k_14.64_points .
  16. i7 4930K(Retail) @ 4.7GHz cinebench @ 1.29 volt air-cooling Batch: 3325A911 http://hwbot.org/submission/2427875_tasos_cinebench_r11.5_core_i7_4930k_14.32_points
  17. The thing is , that hwbot is not what it used to be. Anybody remember the days with RB and bots in every forum ? Anyway ... Long story , short. Every year passing-by (so far) , with all these new ideas and categories and promotions ... with pro styles , superpro styles and super duper pro styles ... you are loosing the amateurs , the everyday people , the ones that have o/c as a hobby and loving it. If it's the big boys that you want here ... Those 20-30 working for companies and an other 20-30 that are friends of the first group and get the leftovers of hardware ... then let it be that way. But just tell so. So , everybody else that doesnt agree with that idea , can look up for an other place-space ... where they wont bother you and perhaps competition should be more pure !!! YES ... it's good to see extreme scores. Scores that need Skills to achieve. BUT ... what's the point of all that , when you know , that it takes extreme binning of everything (in Laaarge quantities ... and for free) to get there. The ordinary people , that can afford to buy one board , one cpu , one pair of mem , one vga ... even assuming that they have the skills ... they simply dont stand a chance , to even come close to a top score. SO ... It has to be crystal clear ... where everybody stands and then go by the book. Companies , sponsored , semi sponsored , and best buddies sponsored ... should be in one big yard. Rest of the world in an other one , their own. Recognition for achievements ... for ALL people. p.s. Plz excuse my English.
  18. GALAXY Z87-HOF (Hall Of Fame) http://www.anandtech.com/show/7043/computex-2013-galaxy-expanding-into-motherboards-psus-ssds It has very interesting features. Anybody knows if this board is going into production ? Should we add it to the list ?
  19. Now we have 3 motherboards. http://www.evga.com/articles/00751/#Home EVGA Z87 Classified EVGA Z87 FTW EVGA Z87 Stinger
  20. http://www.techpowerup.com/184663/intel-desktop-board-dz87klt-75k-pictured.html Screenshot of Intel DZ87KLT-75K // P.S EVGA board , not yet on 1st post ?
