  1. Yup, theres LOADS of PCBs for the 9800GTX (+) Avoid the very obviously crap ones and avoid the Asus Dark Knight with two PCI-E plugs
  2. Push harder bro!.....and ditch ref PCB, you will not score well with one....
  3. Well..... what if the silicon is able to do the MHz... but the BCLK or multi holds it back? If A CPU needs say....1.50v for 5GHz, it's unlikely to be a 6.5GHz+ CPU unless the volts are pushed mega hard. Maybe to some extent we should draw parallels between Ivy and Cedar Mill binning...... I remember now.... we were all hoping for a 125 BCLK strap because SB-E has it....
  4. Thanks bro
  5. Do you have any batch and wafer info?
  6. Is this really legit? It's a BIG jump, using just LN2 and low voltage.....
  7. I've never ran 1C/1T I always keep a second core enabled for O.S. offload, like Karl said.
  8. Congrats on being the first to hit 2000 points in the OC league!
  9. Anyone willing to share S3 for UD5H?
  10. Here's a question.... Who has taken a poor-average CPU and replaced the IHS TIM? What if *some* of the variation is down to IHS attachment difference? ....who has done that with a CPU that was already <1.40v for 5GHz?
  11. Clearly a fail chip Better sell it cheap :p
  12. hahahahahahahahaaaaaaa you got owned by your own pictures of your own product :D
  13. Exactly Most of Ivys uses are single threaded. Even the 06 scores that are going up are without HT. How many cores?
  14. I suspect the rule is true, but has to be approached from 2 directions. I *expect* that all 6.5GHz+ chips do 5GHz at 1.275-1.30v? But not all chips that do 5GHz at 1.275-1.30v? will do 6.5GHz+ SoF.... your 5.8GHz Vs 6.5GHz comment.... what settings for that 5.8GHz? HWB community needs a more rigid binning "procedure" if we are going to learn anything. People are using different voltages, different benchmarks, "cascade" means -80 to -105 and these chips are temperature sensitive, we all know that. # Cores enabled? The framework for this is developing on HWB, but with a few more ....."rules"..... and better maintained threads, HWB can become the global go-to site for CPU batch performance info, when picking the right batch matters
  15. Updated my post with utterly irrelevant, useless, depressing LN2 numbers
  16. Massman took the picture, right?
  17. Mean Machine wins one internet! I think I have an idea what Massmans plan is
  18. I do better with girls than I deserve to, i'm happy enough
  19. I have an issue getting my 7970 to bench at 1650MHz. Will this box solve that issue?
  20. I can't tell if I should buy you a pint for that, or give you an empty glass
  21. Can you guys not just call it a bottleneck like normal people? I made an Excel to calculate PCM05 scores if XYZ change, it's very easy to compare and see that the higher the "other" tests are, the more of an effect the "big hitters" have, or, *increasing* the big hitters.
  22. Personally, I do not think the achievement should be the same as Pro League No.1, but I think there should be a bigger title for the top 5 of each league... not just #1.
  23. I think Splave is on to something here.... this is MUCH more fun than benching
