  1. Yea, true. If your human-GF is girlfriend #1, you are maintaining a healthy life/ hobby balance, thus..... doing it wrong
  2. OMFG! Massman just said something funny!
  3. That's like a CPU that's pretty good on air, but crap under cold
  4. Nothing in the UK
  5. That's pretty cool
  6. You know you OC too much when you just assume/ expect a card to be fully modded without checking to make sure it has been. "Why is there so much droop on this card?! Why is the mod not working, i'll have to check it" *power down* *remove card* "Oh. The mod has not been done at all"
  7. Did you try an SPD flash?
  8. At least they sent you something. You're doing better than a lot of people
  9. hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa
  10. Thanks for the effort bro! I will try this sometime
  11. If you have Qimonda memory, just sell the card. Voltage reduction mod won't help, you gotta find a card with Samsung memory
  12. I have a question I just realised I don't really understand competition points. Based on this: As this is an official level 1 competition, competitors will receive points for the final ranking as following: First place: 10 points Second place: 8 points Third place: 6 points Fourth place: 4 points Fifth place: 2 points Is that for each stage of the competition or the final ranking at the end? Who on each team gets the points?
  13. ...but 125x 63 is just short of 7.9GHz. No-one complained about any other chips having fixed multiplier but ever-increasing FSB/BCLK options... as long as we get the MHz, who cares which component of the clock we're adjusting?
  14. Wouldn't it be easier to move to a default 125 BCLK? (IB-E) How is CPU multiplier derived? Higher multis will need a new silicon revision won't they... and 63 is a co-incidentally neat 6-bit binary number (ok, 64 is a binary number, but digital starts at 0, not 1)
  15. Come on bro, that's too easy-a prediction. 7.5GHz?
  16. Come on bro, that's too easy-a prediction. 7.5GHz?
  17. Really? I've never seen G80 memory that bad Maybe the low RAM MHz are helping you push the core.... What vCore, out of curiosity?
  18. Nice MHz! Push the memory though, it's holding back your score for sure
  19. Some board/ chip/ BIOS combos are better than others for Hypers. Some guys can't even get them to boot, let alone run 32M. I got 1T running fine, but could only run 933-950MHz at any timings.
  20. So OBRs chip really IS that bad and we shouldn't form our opinion of Ivy based on his report? :D (I know a lot of people have a lot of info on these chips now, but I still don't know much)
  21. V-Deluxe board. Someone told me only Asus ROG was tuned for past -100 Very nice result Have you tested enough chips to comment on how common those kind of MHz will be (I'm guessing that's ballpark 6.3GHz)?
  22. This is really important to me Different POMs/ "plastics" react a bit differently.... e.g.... nylon is terrible for condensation. POM is quite good. Some do not appear to conduct heat at all, but I cannot remember which exact structure that is. IIRC, it is quite "chalky"
