  1. Yes george, for some reason when you scale with fsb above 120/125mhz, the integrated vga port goes crazy. Plug the monitor in the DVI port and it will be ok
  2. Llano brings more fun than SB imho. Or, let's say it's less annoying, it's a different kind of fun! The passwords here, are "compromise" and "balance", a new ground to learn about!
  3. Lol, thanks Chris, now I learned that in Latin Culus means Culo in italian, that in english is Ass Hwbot, the languages different studying way
  4. Yes, I noticed that strange issue with ucbench... in the competition, Gappo has the first place, but in the normal rankings, I'm still first and Gappo doesn't exist. Oh, now I remember... I had problems too when I was submitting my result, the bot was trying to upload it as Unigine run... tried a few times than surrended and deleted the results. A few hours later, I retried and it worked... dunno why... :\
  5. Thanks Mad! Guys, have you already been contacted by gigabyte? It's the first time I enter in a competition so I don't know how many days they need to organize etc...
  6. Don't know if I'm supposed to say "thanks" or "fluck you" Ok, thanks
  7. The mosfet blew up with smoke coming from under the heatsink... same for the first mobo, another mosfet near to the last one, where there's no condensation at all! Anyway, thanks to all for the competition, very interesting to study and learn about this platform, to beat someone scores and to be beaten by other scores from other users! Even counting the bad days with the mobos, it's still a positive experience! Congratz to all the clockers involved, see you in the next battlefield
  8. gratz, almost 5ghz isn't something easy to achieve there! The funny thing was that yesterday night I could probably go a bit higher in ucbench but my attention was on improving the Vantage score... then the mobo blew up Nice head to head, Gappo, looking forward to have other challenges with you in the future!
  9. Chris, you made my day Anyway, it's always good to see someone working on homemade stuff
  10. Ok, this mobo (ud4h) has some flaw in electric design. I put@ln2 this cpu on the asus mobo for many times, hours and hours non-stop, no probs at all. 2 days ago, after days of testing at air with the UD4H, I put it@ln2 and after 2/3hours, puff, mosfet gone. Had it rmaed yesterday, so I improved insulation (even if it wasn't necessary) and I tried to lower the voltages... after 2 hours, mosfet gone. The same happened to Gappo, after a few hours at ln2. This mobos, I repeat, are not suitable for ln2, unless they put some OCP circuit really functioning... cpu pll was at default, fch default, ram 1,8v cpu 1,53, gpu 1,28... no condense, no extreme voltages. 2 rmas in 2 days for a 125euros mobo, isn't something you accept with a smile on the face. The competition is great, really funny and interesting, but I must say even the not so good points
  11. Same to me yesterday evening, burned choke, no signs of condensation on mosfets or chokes. Had the mobo rmaed today, fortunately, so that I could bench even tonight. Don't know if it's related or not, but the mobo died a few minutes after I raised PLL to 2,6v... who knows... I'm sorry you can't reply :\
  12. Tnx gappo, waiting for your final fireworks there! Tonight I'll be benching again, yeasterday evening I left much juice inside that cpu, hope to improve, especially in Vantage and (lol) pcmark
  13. Yes, tomorrow I'm going to pick up 30lts, to squeeze out all that I can, or should I say today given the hour Now I'm yelling at PCM7... never tried this benchmark, and I already hate it... it's long as hell, sometimes it ends up corrupted and it needs to be reinstalled and, plus, I'm on an old WD Raptor 36GB that gives really really crappy performances comparing to yours So I'm trying to set up a Raid0, to see if it would give some interesting improvement, but I think that an SSD would still be better. Allright, I'm doing my best with what I have here at home and I'm yelling to those crappy gigabyte raid drivers without signature that W7 refuses to install... It would be a loooooong night I think -.-
  14. gratz Gappo, you didn't even left me first for more than 12hours More cold needed here!
  15. Uhm... I worked it out... if you take a look to the error, the suggested url is xxx/ucbench/xxxxx The url that ucbench website gave me was xxxx/ucbench2011/xxxxx I checked by removing that "2011" from my submission url and it works! The Bot accepted my entry flawlessly. Hope this helps someone with eventually the same issue
  16. Hi Pieter, nothing to do, just re-tried and it's the same :\
  17. I can't submit a result for UCBench... it says error: Verification url must match pattern: http://anrieff.net/ucbench/viewitem.{0,4}?\?id=[0-9?]* My link is that one: http://anrieff.net/ucbench2011/viewitem.php?id=1922 So, everything seems correct, but it doesn't let me upload this
  18. The problem is that August is an unlucky month... all the shops are closed and I can't but a Giga to enter the comp... Next week I'll join you guys, but for now I'm forced to study the platform with the Asus mobo and take a look at your results! BTW, nice Unigine you have Gappo
  19. I had some sessions with the A75-M Pro... 802 bios is not so bad, stability is not an issue here. I think the problem is the ability to ramp up with the fsb, I found a wall at 163mhz... to make it more clear, 163mhz works almost flawlessly, 164mhz results in a no-post situation, I tried everything but nothing to do. Dunno if it's a bios, mobo or cpu related issue though When the shops are reopening, around 22 August, I'll buy a Giga UD4H, to try to enter the contest and to do some comparisons
  20. ehi, nice 920 you got there! This can make well in 920 categories! And now,
  21. Well, I think yes, maybe you can wait but I don't think giorgio will have to add something, since we spoke roughly 1h ago edit: wrote in the same moment...
  22. Finally me and giorgio had a long phone call and everything is cleared out. For the sake of honesty toward giorgio and the accuses to him, I'll try to explain this whole thing: this fact was generated by previous discussions among our two teams (not me and giorgio), so the air was already "hot"... it only needs a little spark to make all explode. The fact is that giorgio is not the admin of nexthw team, as I thought, so all the accusations and discussions must have had another destination, not him... the other destination is giampa, with which I already spoke 3 times by phone in the last few days, clearing all out even there, I hope for a looong time in the future. So, at the end of all this "storm", I'm glad that the things returned in their place...!
