Highest stable fsb for 24/7 use?
Massman replied to Calathea's topic in Trinity / Piledriver / Richland OC
On the more expensive boards there are two PLL. One is in the South Bridge and should be used when going over 133 MHz. The max clock for that PLL is around 170 MHz, give or take a couple MHz because of stuff like spread spectrums. -
The catzilla website says that you have to upgrade your account to submit to HWBOT, even though you have the advanced version? That doesn't sound right ... I hope this is just a bug. I think we'll (again) have to look at temporarily changing the rules to adjust to this situation. Can you submit online, copy the link, and submit with screenshot?

OK guys, we're about to lock down a venue for an open after computer bench gathering in the weekend of 6-7-8-9. Ordering more than a couple hundred liter of ln2 and you can bench what you want. More details later!

The official Rookie Rumble Cup #2 thread.
Massman replied to sergii.ua's topic in HWBOT Competitions
The next Cup will feature scoring based on "score / cores". So the restriction for quad core has been removed http://hwbot.org/news/10526_psyins_from_iran_wins_2nd_rookie_rumble_cup_3_to_start_tomorrow_also_open_to_6_cores_now/ -

Rev6 Divisions Explained - Working Document Alpha Version
Massman replied to Massman's topic in HWBOT Rev.6
The design is founded on the principle that you can only participate in one division. We want to avoid having a situation where a top dog goes in to different categories and wins everything. There's no point in seeing the same name win various categories. Feel free to protest and argue why it should be considered differently. -
At least until the 9th

Rev6 Divisions Explained - Working Document Alpha Version
Massman replied to Massman's topic in HWBOT Rev.6
It's not mandatory to join a division. Just like any other competition this is opt-in. Wouldn't say money is part of the equation in the Challenger series, but fame hopefully so! :-) -
Frequency limitations to work around the temperature monitoring issue is a bad idea. It goes against the idea of "pushing the system to the max" anyway. I guess we can use 3DMark and Catzilla if we rely on external sources for verification. I think it's worth a shot!

Hey all, Now that our designer is wrapping up the design and has made me really excited about the upcoming R6, I want to share this with the rest of the community. But firstly I would like to express my gratitude to the people who read through the second revision of the text and provided some comments and suggestions. Those are included in this version as well for reference. Please understand that this is an alpha draft of the R6 document we're planning to publish a month or so before the release. It includes about a third of the full document and mainly deals with the explanation of the divisions. Feel free to read through the document and ask questions or give suggestions. We'll include an answer to questions and suggestions in future revisions of the document. Link: http://news.hwbot.org/revision6/rev6doc_divisionExplainedr3.pdf (please keep the discussion civil)

Hi all, As you can see, we are making video tutorials for submitting to HWBOT. There is a voice-over and we are adding subtitles to the videos too. If you want to translate the sentences in your native language, check these Google Docs: CPU-Z: http://url.hwbot.org/1kwTsVR. XTU: http://url.hwbot.org/Qq9l3A SuperPI: http://url.hwbot.org/1tqLu38 HWBOT Prime: http://url.hwbot.org/1h2ysDx Notes: One translation per language. If your language is already there, just correct the grammar Please include your name and contact email to the top of the file so we can add you in the credits Please don't delete anything :) After you are finished translation, please make sure to update this file: http://url.hwbot.org/1uCfPww Thanks!
