My first Clarkdale chip could do 6.6G Wprime (iirc) and only 6.2G Pi 1M. I re-tried a hundred times I think.
I know it sounds weird, but just wanted to share this.
Here's a 1500 stable run http://hwbot.org/submission/2465734_massman_superpi___32m_core_i7_4770k_7min_26sec_438ms
With tight subs I've gotten it to loop 18/19.
No optimization of subs in that 7min26 run. Seems like 4GHz low-clock demands low latencies, not high frequency.
It's one of the kits binned for the Computex event, I think. Can't really remember where they came from, they've been sitting on the shelve for 6 months .
But yeah, those kits are just special bins. Not possible to find in retail, I think.
Decided to give this Vengeance kit a shot. I've had it in the office for a while now, and never really pushed. Country Cup gives me a bit of motivation to see how good they are.
Turns out they're not that bad

Not sure why the timing mechanism is going off on Windows 7. It's a alert system that was implemented only very recently to deal with the Windows 8 downclocking problem.
Either the timer mechanism is broken, or there is a real timer issue and we have been dealing with bugged runs on Windows7 unknowingly.
