so actually what youre saying massman is that XTU is accurate then ????, coz it wasnt, maybe is now, time will tell, is that what youre saying because a "sensationalist" means a whole different thing than what XTU is, youre bots intel fanboy anyway so youre going to do exactly what intel says for you to do to keep the sponsorship, sad really when a man knows theres a problem and cant even stand up and have a go so as his members can have a straight bench and straight members to run it sensationalist. presenting stories in a way that is intended to provoke public interest or excitement, at the expense of accuracy
-
if the points gathered in this bench are from people cheating with their submissions, they should be deleted, and banned, no ifs or buts....delete and ban, teach them a bloody lesson once and for all, its that damn simple, regardless of what bench it is, all it does it make the honest people suffer, and get the damn bench fixed up or get rid of it altogether

Why is HWBOT and OC-ESPORTS website so slow....?
ozzie replied to bolc's topic in HWBOT Competitions
if every member gave $5, bot would never have the server issues again, im up for starting a fund for BOT, whos in ? i dunno how to do it or if its even allowed to do , but 1 thing i know they need help, they help us all year round in every sub and comp, so why cant the members help them to help us to make it easier for all concerned >??? is it allowed michael ??? -
nice speed man, well done, geez thats a shame its down to 1 mem channel, what software did you use to clock it, honestly it seems that i just have a dud chip that doesnt like cold, i dunno what to try with it actually i remember now, i had the same issue with my first crossblade ranger, it was a damn good board too, i ended up with 1 mem channel, it wasnt the cpu at fault, i took it down to asus and it was the cpu socket that had the problem and the board was replaced, i havent looked and i dont know if your board is a crossblade ranger, if it is , maybe you have the same issue as i did ?

ive said my piece and how i feel about it all, its now up to bot staff, coz im sure they dont want this garbage, and if they dont do something positive about it as it has been said in previous years and nothing has been done about its its gunna happen again for em to deal with, its that bloody well simple, bot has to own up to their own incompetence with it here, its been there for years...fix it properly, clear rules posted in every comp, regulations posted in every comp, does 2 + 2 make 4 or 9 ?? and the problem no longer exists does it ???!!!!!
-
i think theres a lot of good suggestions in this thread and they need to be carefully read , listened too and examined, because whats been happeining the last years just has to stop , its bloody well ridiculous
-
its not interesting, its a pain in the arse Sam, look what it does and has done, conflict, aggression, illegitimate subs, name it, its there ? and does it every year, people cant even submit cos the site is so choked up with sandbagged subs and the site and the mods are trying their arses out to get thru it all and be fair with it, isnt this telling everyone something ??????, it needs banning and to sub when you do the sub, and the timestamp will tell that when it was done, thats my take on it to make it easier for all and stop all this garbage carry on
-
sandbagging subs is a weak arsed attempt to sub as far as im concerned, its never been a fan of mine, basically its the people that sandbag that are scared to get beat and they sandbag so as to give others no time to set up other platforms or whatever to be able to beat their score, to me basically its a form of cheating in the aspect of people just not having enough time to compete against coz they have another platform on for a different section in the comp, so how the hell are they gunna have time to do it ?, and no my thoughts, idea arent different to vinnies suggestion i think, vinnies suggestion has big merit i think and would overcome a lot of the now issues very easily, it would mean you sub what you get at that time, then others try to or beat it, pretty simple, you cant see it, only the mods can to adjudicate whether its a legit sub or not and take the appropriate action on it if it isnt, os as scotty said, the mods inform the team captains of it to have it adjusted , rerun or be deleted, and all you do is do your best and same for the others, to me that is FAIR as you can get for all involved
-
ive never been 1 for sandbagging, my scores have what i get at the time, and if someone beats it then so be it, you just try harder then, as far as im concerned sandbagging scores till the end should be banned , its complicated, makes the mods work harder to check all these sandbagged scores submitted in quick time, and as weve seen from this, it causes BIG mistakes and a whole lot of bull....shit with it
-
interesting idea vinnie, that would fix that problem right up, and would make it so much more interesting for people and to wonder what the others have got

mick, michael does a great job in here mate, and im sure his patience has been tested fully this time round, hes a damn good guy and not recognised here enough for what he does on an ongoing basis, hes fair, just and honest and im quite sure he wont take sides and will take his time and remove any sub that isnt legitimate
-
rules are rules michael ????...moderator or not on what ever team theyre with mate !!!! all screen shots of the subs have to be clearly visible and nothing obscured or by part there of of another tab , and if they are theyre deemed a non valid sub, isnt that the rules too michael ?? because if it isnt in this case and id like to know why have i seen previous subs been deemed non valid and not legitimate and removed for the same thing ?

^^^^^^^^^^^agree, slow as a wet week here too, and has been for ages, but its right on que , right at the end of the teams cup, challenger comps, and when people are wanting and needing to submit, last 3 yrs has been the same damn thing , why im wondering, and its been questioned about prior and seems to be just put on the back burner

i didnt have trouble with iced water, 4800mhz was the best i could get from it on iced water, LN2 was the problem, it just didnt want to play on cold cold at all, the best way i spose is to try another APU in it to see if the board is good with cold, thx for your specs on it newlife and thinking about it again, if i have a temp of say 1c with chilled water, that means at say 4.5gig cpu speed at 1.6v-7 v, im gunna have around the 20c+ cpu temp, right ? , so where is the insulation or motherboard factor come into it when it performs quite well at this temp?, im interested to know your thoughts please, doesnt quite make sense to me
-
sometimes its just the silicone lottery, you get what you get, unless youre someone special in the game
-
well usually when you fight the law it always wins in the end , i lost as well, lol, i really dont know what to suggest with this, id like some other guys that have come across this to chime in and give their experiences and opinions on it too if thats possible, i really find it hard to see that its a motherboard issue as the boards are proven performers with and without LN2 with different cpus, so if anyone is able to chime in on this please do
-
well it maybe the Godavari core (7870K) is more sensitive than the Kaveri core (7850K) or it seems to be that way Lee, it didnt matter what temp mine was at -0c or lower to -24c it didnt want to know about it, i didnt try any more after that, just a waste of LN2, but it seems the silicone lottery applies again, as it does in everything we buy thank you for the replies
-
well regardless of the temps , from the research and comments ive done and read from different people they have cold bug issues with the godavari core cpus, i tried mine on ln2 for the team cup frequency section and found it was no better than what it did for chilled water so i was interested to see if anyone here was willing to share their yes or no if they have suffered the same fate as me with the godavari core , especially within the AMD 7870k
-
thx for your input about yours super. mine booted @-24c into windows then locked up, so i tried warming it, same thing, boots into windows and still locks up, same settings, so om sure its the godavari core, the kaveri core i read doesnt have this issue, if im wrong please tell me
-
i tried my 7870K on ln2 yesterday for the first time, useless as an ashtray on a motor bike, didnt matter what temperature, it went to windows then locked up, it did no better than ice water, i have read others have had issues with the same APUS with the steamroller architecture in the Godavari core as well, has anyone found a work around from it, there are others that have achieved a nice 5600 mhz down to 5 gig, so im thinking they have a good chip to get above 5 gig, seems the Kaveri core is a different cup of tea altogether, thoughts please ?

overkill ??? i doubt it, girlfriends are overkill, they fail all the time, this unit wont do that !!!

Mobo bootloop after vaseline insulation
ozzie replied to unityofsaints's topic in Extreme overclocking
thx barbo , i read it, very much food for thought there, he also used acetone to clean it off, i thought acetone may have been a little harsh but obviously works fine so it looks like the vaseline residue could well be the problem hes having here with the 45T extreme, hoping he gets it sorted out
