websmile replied to websmile's topic in HWBOT Competitions
Yes, cache=core. The max core frequency has to be 4200 or lower all the time -
You need to bench with internet enabled and submit directly after bench - saving the file does not work. I checked upload, luckily my test rig is not sold atm like I plan, and it worked flawless when I submit after bench is domne, log in and upload

Physics and 32m are no 3d stages, so feel free to use any card that fits, but don´t show gpuz if you don´t use Galax, please. Rules say GPUZ mandatory for 3d stages only -
Save file does not work, I have no problems with direct upload after bench. I am normally easily blaming hwbot for stuff like this, but see no problem atm apart from the fact that we got a beta 2,45 we wanted to use that doesn´t work . The 2,44 you can download worked for me and was also confirmed to work several times, but as said, save file doesn´t work. Log in after bench and submit directly with screenshot

Yes -
Next time immediately contact FM support if you have problem with unknown vga so they can add it or slove a possible problem - thanks for sharing that this worked, and I think quite fast in your case
-
You use 2,44? If you have by any chance got the 2,45 beta, this doesn´t work and we strongly recommend you downgrade because 2,45 is big fail

Result in final, page is recalculated, feel free to celebrate

No Opterons for you, Albrecht :'( - on the other topics, I fully approve - if we find a way to make dogpile page work better, we can repeat this

Set max mem for 64 bit OS if you use tight timings like 3866 12-12, this is a B-die IC issue on skylake -

Cough, we went for 6003 instead of 6000 flat because of fluctuation. The problem that people will always aim for limit will not be changed by exceeding clock range, also the fluctuation problem will not be solved. If we use 6005 or 6010, people will set 100,1/100,125 or 100,2 and have same problem. We discussed this with Mad Tse and 6003 is OK -

RealBench Challenge 2016 - Challenge II Discussion
websmile replied to websmile's topic in HWBOT Competitions
No, above 4200 is not allowed, it would not make sense to use lower frequency and then bump to 4200. Any particular reason you ask? -
We discussed this when rules were made, we want the 460 even if it might be a bit inconvenient because we want same conditions for all and no vga/driver battle at different level. I am sure you can understand why, even though we are sorry for the inconvenience P.S. This was a unanimous decision to keep the playing field even and also have better comparability of results

OK, I checked all divisions that are my duty, generally I handled things as generously as possible, but still there were results I had to remove. The time spy topic was discussed in the matching thread, I had to remove a lot of scores again, so once again, valid or bust, there is zero alternative. What made me a bit sad is that I had to block some scores for absolutely non understandable reasons. For 10 years now at hwbot everyone can read the rules which state you have to show benchmark resolution and settings for 3dmark 01-06, and still people block these with resuts tabs or other stuff, for 3dmarks sub test results shown on screenshot is mandatory from the start, people simply ignore this and so on. You kill your results with this, you kill my time with this and we both end up angry and disappointed. Despite the competition being great, this is something I had to state because it is simply important, check the rules again before you bench, to refresh memory and avoid fiasco like this, please. Thanks for the particpation which was high and some awesome results
-
I can only state again that time spy is synchronized with FM rules, everything that is different than "valid result" will not be accpted, I have 0.00 headroom on this. If you see why, it makes sense, it is for making this benchmark open for all os and all systems due to the online check, and make it bulletproof. If some one encounters problems like Heinrich, immedialtely contact FM to make them add the hardware, if your vga driver is not accepted, look for fm approved drivers and so on. There is no alternative for this
-
I agree, we made our lives and contestants life too complcated with some bugs at database, let´s hope we will not see this again. I have doubts though we will see the dogpile again, it was no big success for me because it caused a lot of trouble for eoc sports and database.
