First of all, check the BIOS and tools section here, on Asus you need XP-capable Bios like 0031 or 0040 for Hero to make it work - then download the guide, check the section which explains XP installation and read it. It works, I use M8H and installed xp on 0031 and 0040 easily

Interesting board, Impact VII did great for me - what is the black disk for, the one that is between usb and coolhub, to which a cable from plug on board leads to? CMos battery?

Time for a first facit on the HeroVIII I tested, other than on Z87 when I was disappointed I am happy with the board, solid performance and cpu-clocks, good mem oc, only thing I miss is dual BIOS, but I think this is made up by USB-flashback, and decent pricing. A few results: Mems are 3200c16 retails, full slot worked as well as shown, solid, in better hands with better sticks it might fly a lot higher

XP won´t be faster without waza anyway, you won´t save time . @Luumi I made a couple of full-slot tests, this works but is not too easy to handle, binning should be done in single or dual when you think one stick is weak, all air, so results will be easier with wc or cold Very hard on skylake to keep good real tight rtls on air for me, no matter which board I use or mems, IMC on air fights hard

ICs used are Hynix, copy of invoice is part of the deal. They work flawless, but please notice that these were originally designed for 1156, so on 1155 and newer systems like all ecos they need a bit above 1,35v to do specs 4. 2x2GB GSkill Ripjaw DDR3-1600 7-8-7-24 PSC XDX, used for my last benches on 1150, they do 2667 extremely tight at 8-13-9-28 rtl40/40 for spi32m, xtu and so on at 1,8v and less on my Impact, 2700+ at same settings no problem with 1,85v. I did some more tests, on two different boards, they work quite identical 5ghz 4,8cache win7 Spi32M 1,32v 5,1ghz Core 4,5ghz cache hwbotprime 1,41v 5GHz Geekbench 1,37v, might work with a bit less volts, I am not sure I know what I am doing on skylake

This is no problem for me, maybe head of moderation accepts the appeal and re-adds sub to comp, I would be OK with this as well. But it is not in my power to change the "rules are equal for all" policy on competitions, so I can only judge according to the rules and for exceptions, appeal is only way to go - the points and the cup for the submission itself are not lost anyway, if Ozzie resubmits with correct link this will of course be valid for hwbot ranking.

Yes, I checked and the result was 173Mhz - this doesn´t change the insufficient verification for the competition. Someone lost a comp and a whole division title today because he mixed up and submitted wrong screenshots, a pro ocer, and I could not accept this as well because he only showed correct screenshots when the competition was over, so I even checked with head of moderation and had to remove the scores. Please accept that you cannot always blame hwbot for your own faults, submitting a correct link adress at the form for this is not difficult, if you fail on this the only one to blame is yourself
