  1. I just installed 3dmark05 and 06, and both benchmarks freeze at the same point, about 1minute and 42sec in. No OC on CPU/GPU, and no driver crashes either. Benchmark just locks up and freezes. Here's a video showing it: http://puu.sh/kbg7G.mp4
  2. Did you get your GPU that you killed on stream to work? Or did you send it back and get another?
  3. I was installing an ISO w/ yumi, and I could of SWORN I clicked my 50gb partition I had left aside for XP, and it installed over my daily driver windows 8.1 install I am so sad I have to go re-install all of my daily driver stuff now lol
  4. Do you happen to know where I can get the ISO? I tried using the one on microsofts site, maybe I did something wrong but it kept telling me this message below after I used an ISO to USB tool. (When I tried to boot from USB) "An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"
  5. @GtiJason / @Bullant How do you guys get windows xp installed on the Z97 SOC Force from a USB drive?
  6. I noticed Skylake's stock voltage is a bit high it seems, so I was wondering if our new max voltage that's "24/7 safe" is higher than the previous 1.35v we were recommended by intel. I can't seem to find anything concrete, was wondering if anyone knew. Just curious that's all . Thanks for any help guys, post a source if possible thanks again!
  7. I had a 5820k for like 2 weeks or so, my soc champion board was having so many issues I decided to just return everything & go back to z97 and spend the extra money on my custom loop & 980. At first I was going to RMA the board, but I decided to just return the stuff instead for a refund because I got so fed up with all of the issues
  8. I need a job :c I been doing all this so far jobless with money from re-selling parts and then buying different ones with the money lol. Applied at a job near me hopefully they hire me so I can save up and get skylake or X99 for more points Short of going Ln2 I've already basically done everything my hardware can do
  9. in windows with the program also: ugh I need to figure out how to get more points, I'm so close to being like top 5 in novice
  10. I was told about $80-$100 for my kit that does 2800 9-12-12-18 1T, so I'd say you're probably looking at about the same price (My kit is 2400 c9)
  11. Sweet! Make sure to thank everyone involved for me
  12. What I'm trying to say is if HWBOT want more members and to continue to expand, HWBOT needs to be able to accept benchmarks from more OS, especially the NEW ones that a huge majority of new users will be using. ( Let's be realistic, using ancient operating systems isn't appealing to a lot of people, especially when new ones have more features and run smoother.) The average consumer, even most "pro-sumers" aren't going to want to go out of their way to do benchmarks on a separate install. A lot of people don't care about the absolute bleeding edge score they can get with their hardware, they just want to have fun and see how they stack up against other people & their friends. I find competing against friends is really fun, but I also enjoy the bleeding edge of things.
  13. glitched score I think, other people are at MUCH higher ram & CPU speeds, getting the same score.
  14. I really think there has to be some sort of solution for this RTC stuff. If 3Dmark & a few other benchmarks can do it, why can't we have that for everything? If the BOT wants to continue to expand and get bigger, support for NEW operating systems needs to be in place for more benchmarks IMO. Not a lot of people want to make separate windows installs just to benchmark, it's a hassle and something that should be avoidable all together IMO.
  15. It has been very hot and humid the last few days, but i think dew point gets lower at night. If my dew point is ~ 5c do you think ill be alright?
  16. Do I need to do any type of insulating for chilled water? I want to put my 1080mm radiator into a tub of ice essentially, or just run cold water with ice in it through the loop. I assume I need to do something to the tubing, like some neoprene or paper towels and wrap the tubing or something like that? But the GPU block, do I need to take the GPU block off and do anything to the PCB / GPU memory? Then also around the CPU block put some paper towels?
  17. Oh sorry I thought you were only talking about the XOC BIOS, not the voltage control. My apologies.
  18. Dam, do you happen to know how to fix my software voltage control issues? I really don't have like 200-300$ to spend on an evbot to try and see if that fixes my issues.
  19. Yeah i cant get it to work, tried everything i can think of. I still can't get software voltage control not to crash my driver under load, tried 6 different drivers and 3 different bios, only other thing i can think of trying is a fresh windows install. should I just copy all the values from that BIOS into my Ln2 BIOS and flash it? Or are there things maxwell BIOS tweaker can't edit, that are changed in the XOC bios from kingpin? Thx for the help BTW!
  20. I just finished my custom loop for my 980 Classified, and I'm trying to use Kingpin's XOC BIOS "ClassyXX" off his forums, and when I boot into windows with that BIOS, as soon as my nvidia driver starts, the screen turns off/on/off/on/off/on and eventually never turns back on, and I have to restart and use a different BIOS for it to work properly. Also, when I use "Classified tool" or Precision X's "Overboost" feature to add more voltage, it crashes my driver as soon as I put a load on the GPU. (even on stable clocks with stock volts, if I add more volts to that clock, it crashes driver) I really want to do some XOC on water now that I have this all set up and working, but IDK how to fix these issues I'm having. On the KPC forum thread, he mentions drivers will crash sometimes with software voltage control, but he never mentioned how to fix it. I assume it's a driver issue? I saw some mentions of "use 337.xx" drivers, should I try that first? I have the 3988 SKU of the 980 Classified, driver # 344.75 Also if this helps, I have a 1080mm radiator and load temps in benchmarks are ~30-32c at 1600 mhz on core / 8710 mhz on memory stock volts. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
