  1. Where are you getting this "rbauss had stronger gpu" from? Look at the dam submissions dude, Kingpins gpu had same gpu clock, and higher memory clock. http://hwbot.org/submission/3036711_rbuass_3dmark___fire_strike_geforce_gtx_980_ti_26844_marks http://hwbot.org/submission/3023964_kingpin_3dmark___fire_strike_geforce_gtx_980_ti_27551_marks Just because you don't like the answer you've been given doesn't mean it's incorrect.
  2. Did you not read all that I wrote? The gpus are at the same clock speed, memory on the 980 ti kingpin was faster. Pair that with tighter memory timings and that is why the score is higher. The difference in gpu score is like 4%. Memory timings on cpu can net that type of Performance easily, why can't a gpu do the same? Firestrike is heavily reliant on gpu score and combined score, physics helps a lot too, but raw gpu power always gives higher score than physics.
  3. There is plenty of proof here: https://www.kingpincooling.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3816 Also you're comparing the gpu clocks wrong, compare the gpu boost clocks as listed on their submissions. Firestrike normal for Rbauss was at 2172/2156, Vince was at 2172/2170 Vince having a higher memory clock paired with the more efficient bios is why he is getting a better score.
  4. 980 TI Kingpin has a fancy BIOS that makes it perform better clock for clock. Apparently it tightens the memory timings, and makes the GPU more efficient per clock. (Nearly as efficient as a Titan X at the SAME clocks) That is most likely the reason right there.
  5. Yeah I recently traded my crappy 4770k and $100 for my friends 4790k, took it up to 6g on DICE the other day! It seems very good and I got a lot of compliments on it so far. I need to take the time to set up windows xp so I can do more superpi. Windows 7 just doesn't seem to cut it. I need to get a good kit of psc too. Here are the two submissions I did last dry ice session: http://hwbot.org/submission/3038208_lays_superpi___32m_core_i7_4790k_5min_20sec_768ms http://hwbot.org/submission/3038211_lays_superpi___1m_core_i7_4790k_5sec_975ms
  6. If I sacrifice a goat to Bullant will it give me better scores in Superpi? :] Nice results bullant

Did ya get a better one, or waiting for broadwell-e? Goodluck with sale
  8. LOL :D I will come too, I heard they got big booty bunnyes LMAO
  9. Interested in gpu pot, don't think my paycheck will be enough to cover it though. GLWS
  10. They could have it auto change the number if the number is higher than like... 1400 mhz? Then if it really is over 2800 effective, they could request it to be fixed by an admin? Then atleast those 90% get entered correctly..
  11. That is similar to what mine needs for volts, i have been running 5000, 4/8 at 1.335v 24/7 and no crashes at all. Pretty sure I can xtu 5g at 4/8 something like 1.32v maybe a bit less like 1.3 I haven't tested really. It does 5.2g 32m at 1.34v which is apparently quite good. Friend of mine asked me to test 5.2 32m and see how low I could get the volts.
  12. I don't even think I needed this many volts either, pretty sure it will do 5250 at this volt lol. I am gonna DICE again thursday if all goes well.
  13. Are you running with XMP on? I noticed it says 1333 mhz in your XTU hardware settings. Ram speeds, lower timings & cache frequency will increase score greatly. Also try updating like that other guy said.
  14. If it only measures down to -170 does that mean the temperature reading is off, or it just doesn't sense temps that low?
  15. I am not sure, I have heard some have CB at same temp as 4770k around -130 or -140, but I also heard some CB at like -80. I really hope it isn't the latter, although I only do DICE currently because I just started doing subzero & don't have a lot of funds for LN2 stuff.
  16. I have a probe that the guy I got the pot from included, his name is "dhenzjhen" and he said he tested it with LN2 and it had no problems going down to -170c.
  17. Time for some XTU next probably :] Thanks for the tips here and there on skype
  18. Usually I have a mixture of crushed fine & smaller chunks, I can only buy it in 10 pound bricks where I live. It is really cheap though, 10 pound brick only costs about $13 USD. I will try slow base next time I bench, maybe it will get a bit colder since there is more mass. I have had a few people tell me their pots get down to about ~ -70c, so I think maybe slow base will help. Thanks guys! I hope this new 4790k I got scales well on cold!
  19. I have benched twice with DICE now on a 4770k I had for a bit, and was wondering if my temps on the pot are high. I only get down to about -63c or so on the pot, I fill the pot just a tiny bit over the holes with acetone, then I crush up the dice and pour it in. I always put a bit of thermal grizzly on the probe and then slide it in the hole at the base of the pot, then I use painters tape to secure the cable to the pot so it doesn't slide around. Pic of crushed DICE: Pot is a Kingpin F1 Gemini 2.0, I use the fast base. ( should I be using the slow base?) Using a Craftsman 82139 multimeter & a k-type probe I got with my pot. Pic of multimeter:
