I guess this will be Sempron 140/145 territory. Not sure what'll happen with big VGA configurations ... even Vantage must be CPU limited then

Massman i want to buy a intel celeron 356 (3.33) what do you say for this cpu? it's ok for this challenge?

i guess because of DDR3 support

You can have celerons with ddr3. Semprons are just newer better faster Check out the single core wprime rankings.

Not sure about the CPC, but the Semprons can be pushed to 5G+ ... as only single core CPUs.

 

I'm very interested to see how the Vantage thing will pan out. I'm not sure having 4 GPUs will even help; if the CPU bottleneck is too big, it's possible that 2 GPUs would be enough.

I can have also my celeron @ 5Ghz but not as good WPRime score as the sempron sigh. just bought a sempron, now I need motherboard and LN2, will see with my team

Anyway I have also bought PCMark Vantage, the free version is a fake, only one use and no score
