buildzoid Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 hi here is a noob question... how come radeon cards dominate? is it because of unlocked voltage on those cards? my 680 suppose to perform equal to a 280x (stock) They have voltage control but more importantly CCC allows you to turn off tessellation, this is a legal tweak on HWbot so all AMD users run the benchmarks without tess and get higher scores even with lower clocks. AugustinPRiME Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 This score >> http://hwbot.org/submission/2640166 << is impossible at those RAM Settings. Not mentioning is on Windows 7! I think the real Frequnecy is @4500Mhz. Quote
saint19 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Contest ends today...well done all of you guys. Quote

I think the real Frequnecy is @4500Mhz. I'll delay giving him a prize. If he can give a video proof in 48 hours that he can get within 100ms of that time with those settings I'll take it as a valid score. Edited September 30, 2014 by buildzoid Quote

GGI78 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 http://hwbot.org/submission/2640589 - COMIAS commented on his own score: 4 hours ago – Optimization sub timings. OS: Win Server 2003 R2 x64 optimized... Dreams =)) Quote
newlife Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 No amount of sub timings will make up for 2400 c10 given haswell does best with 2800 c9 with Samsung's on air as this isn't AMD we are about and I doubt a win xp 64 bit based OS can do so well given how slow 64 bit xp is at 32m but I could be wrong since I've never tried windows sever for 32m Quote
Massman Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Christian, our Head of Moderating will have a look at the scores too. Stay tuned for the final ranking! Quote
COMIAS Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 As I explained to the submission, I mainly adjusted sub timings. This setting is barely modfified, because there are too many options. The first time I adjusted it was to see the potential of these settings, and when I saw that it changed a lot of things, I did keep on digging in. And no, I do not use Windows XP, but Win2003R2 64x. For Win2003R2 for x64, I used the original CD win2003R2, I took the Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise 64x version to which I did all available updates. I set it up and disabled any unnecessary services, performing optimizations. I also used some availaible tweaks. And if he yells because there is a reward, be assured that I do not run after DOGEcoin. I just made it for my own pleasure. If it was not about reward, I think we would not have this discution. And I recall that early in the OC4DOGE, I was taken apart by some of you on the submission of Fire Stike with Sapphire HD7970 Toxic in 6GB. For 3Dmark display a R9-280X. GGI78 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Any 64-bit operating system penalizes you between 6 and 10 seconds regardless of optimization and tweaks used. Quote
newlife Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Dude no way. I don't know I missed it but ht is enabled which makes this as websmile said a joke and I won't believe that this legit without video proof within a few hundred ms but even then I'll still have doubts Quote
CL3P20 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 no wazza with 64bit.. no maxmem.. = no initial time like that.. lolz Quote
saint19 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I was really trying to not post here. But many people here know that this time isn't possible with those settings, OS and frequency. Even, if you take a look of his best SP32M result, you will see that's running at very similar settings on RAM but @4.9GHz with a 4.368s initial time. There isn't way that he can get a better initial time with almost 500MHz less in that CPU. Best result: http://hwbot.org/submission/2640878_comias_superpi___32m_core_i7_4790k_6min_28sec_487ms Quote
Taloken Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 COMIAS's result removed from contest. End of the story, thank you. Quote
