Posted October 29, 201014 yr hmmm, and for 1 core ? I only have a GA-5AX from gigabyte atm. EDIT : also 2 boards s478, one slot one, a s462 and s423. Only 1 Core
October 29, 201014 yr i guess we cannot use 2 or 4 cores of a 980x for the corresponding categories!?
October 30, 201014 yr Gee buy a gigabyte board to win a gigabyte board... If I had a board maybe... Maybe if the prizes were better.....
October 30, 201014 yr Gee buy a gigabyte board to win a gigabyte board... If I had a board maybe... Maybe if the prizes were better..... I can't see the "use a Gigabyte-Mainboard" requirement this time, is it simply a mistake, am I going blind or are you allowed to use any motherboard this time? I think most sense would be to allow all boards, otherwise the prizes are some kind of stupid. If I won a competion with me state-of-the-art Gigabyte board, I don't need another one. But if I used an Asus board (just for example) and would win a new Gigabyte-Board I could try this next time ^^
October 30, 201014 yr i guess we cannot use 2 or 4 cores of a 980x for the corresponding categories!? Exactly. This must be specified.
October 30, 201014 yr i guess we cannot use 2 or 4 cores of a 980x for the corresponding categories!? No. can you use amd cpus? Yes.
October 30, 201014 yr Another compo with entry cost higher than the best prize. <goes back to his Sempron 140 rig>
October 31, 201014 yr Does this rules allow to use Hyperthreading in category 4 cores? I think it will be unfair to people who have processors w/o HT.
October 31, 201014 yr The cores are physical or HT can be used?. EDIT: Thanks, I don't see your post. Edited October 31, 201014 yr by rhpsystems
November 1, 201014 yr hmmm, and for 1 core ?I only have a GA-5AX from gigabyte atm. EDIT : also 2 boards s478, one slot one, a s462 and s423. Only 1 Core I have a GA-5AX too, with two AMD K6/2, is it a "DualCore" ?!
November 1, 201014 yr Mass, can I participate only in 4 cores or I have to participate in all stages? Bye
November 1, 201014 yr Prizes are awarded per #cores. So, to win the 4-core prize, you only need to compete in 4-core Wprime 32M and 4-core Wprime 1024M. Not competing in the other stages is no problem

November 1, 201014 yr Honestly I do not stay clear. If I have a I7 875K, this rise in the category of 4 cores (without HT). O in the category of 6 cores with ht. With a I3 530 or I5 655K compete in 2 cores without ht?
November 3, 201014 yr Retail only, means my B1 ES is out... Might go for the dual core stage though...

O in the category of 6 cores with ht.With a I3 530 or I5 655K compete in 2 cores without ht? Again - hyperthreading is a feature of the CPU. 875K = 4-cores (with HT) 530/655K = 2-cores (with ht)
November 3, 201014 yr Wrong result in category Тур 3: 4 core Wprime 32M http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1072425_teemto_wprime_32m_athlon_ii_x4_640_7sec_578ms?tab=info
November 6, 201014 yr Can we use an unlocked X3 as a four core submission? I have tried this but it will not allow it. Can you clarify? Thanks
November 6, 201014 yr so you mean when you unlock the X3 to X4 right? It will show 4 cores and pretty much becomes a 4core processor = yes
