Mr.Scott Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) Newest GPUz crashes upon opening. Newer CPUz's instant lockup upon opening 99% of the time Tested on stock clocks. For everything other than the reference validation can we use older versions? Edited April 18, 2018 by Mr.Scott 1 2 Quote
Crew Strunkenbold Posted April 19, 2018 Crew Posted April 19, 2018 I don't see problems when using older versions. So it is perfectly fine. Looks like the software from today is simply not made for older systems. It's very bad to see this. Could you possibly play with the CPU-Z.ini and look which option cause the crash? Is this on AMD or Via chipsets? 3 Quote

Scott If you remember , we had that problem with new gen GPU-Z , back in osibs of 2016. Version up to 0.8.2 works ok About CPU-Z Must be motherboard specific problem or perhaps VIA ? (i'll try to test a VIA board). 1 Quote
Mr.Scott Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I do remember. Just wanted to get it out there early to avoid any potential problems later. Just being more pro-active. On CPUz, yes, VIA board. I have never had any problems with CPUz on the old platforms until the last round and this one. Both VIA boards. 1 1 Quote

I figured out my issue. Bad ram stick. Was using the same ram is both rounds. Changed it out, no problems. Funny how working shit just goes bad sitting in a drawer. Thanks for taking the time to test Tasos. I appreciate it. Quote

GRIFF Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Ok ok no problem. I have little time these days, but for the weekend I should succeed. I have to look for the plastic cover that I do not remember where it is. However for the next time, before writing that people change, ask, maybe answer is completely different. Quote
