superpatodonaldo Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 about stage 1 and 2 rules say "One submission allowed per CPU socket" so I understand 1 cpu for 2066, 1 for 1151(v2) + 1 for 1151(v1?) + 1 for 2011-3, 1 for 2011, 1 for AM4, 1 for TR4, 1 for AM3 etc…... Quote
yosarianilives Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 No spoilers but you're missing a few semi-obvious bombshells Quote
suzuki Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 Than write them down :). For reference clock,do we have v1 and v2 on 1151? Quote
bolc Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 1151 v1 (6xxx 7xxx?) and v2 (8xxx 9xxx?) are currently unified under one category only it seems Quote

Well for one it doesn't have speedstep, it also doesn't support hyperthreading, it has a stock tdp of 35w, 1mb of cache, comes at a stock 1.6 ghz, supports ddr3 1066, and has intel hd graphics Quote
suzuki Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 I never benched gpupi, are you saying it is better with no HT ,lower native ddr3 freq and 30% less cache ? or is it sarcasm ? Quote

mickulty Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 9900K and 8086K are the same socket. Same for 6950X+5960X, 2990WX+1950X. Yos and unity are both trolling. Understandably. It's one thing to check for bad hardware combinations, but I don't think you can expect people to hold your hand and tell you that LGA2066 is also capable of very high BCLK in the same way 1151 is. 1 Quote
