mikebik Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 leeghoofd has been removing scores based of a "might be affected" and not it is affected for a number of scores from pifast to geekbench. Same excuse on every copy past removal. "Score removed, either rebench on Windows 7 or use the Benchmate Tool" shouldn't there be definitive proof before removal? 1 Quote
Members GeorgeStorm Posted October 21, 2019 Members Posted October 21, 2019 The rules should state that new AMD has to be run on Windows 7, the fact they have remained this long is due to lack of moderators. Quote
mikebik Posted October 21, 2019 Author Posted October 21, 2019 Question then. Who's going to have win 7 while having a new cpu. What is the determination of this? 1 Quote
Members GeorgeStorm Posted October 21, 2019 Members Posted October 21, 2019 Competitive benchmarking often requires running software not commonly used. I is a shame that AMD has this bug, but perhaps benchmate will solve the issue. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted October 21, 2019 Crew Posted October 21, 2019 (edited) if you want to bench properly you wan use the benchmate tool from Matt and bench the included benchmarks and re-sub these. Windows 10 subs without Benchmate will be removed, nobody accuses you of doing anything, the scores might be bugged and we don't allow any tolerances... Intel fixed this generations ago, too bad AMD didn't on their latest CPUS Edited October 21, 2019 by Leeghoofd 2 Quote
mikebik Posted October 21, 2019 Author Posted October 21, 2019 So basically if you have a amd chipset then you would get a worst score? Also geekbench isn't on benchmate. Is there going to be a replaced option as far as benchmark? You also left my 2200g scores. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted October 21, 2019 Crew Posted October 21, 2019 (edited) 2200G is exempted for 3Ddue to VEGA onboard which has no Win7 drivers....2D scores will be pulled if using a discrete GPU. Issue is that you can get higher scores out of the blue due to timer skews. Initially it was thought this happened with motherboards with bclocking ability but the problem is deeper. Anyway the BenchMate tool will haver a new version out soon with added benchmark support. Sad but true Geek is a no go anymore on win10 as the vendor does not approve the extra security checks BenchMate does... their loss... Moderating this takes time.... mikebik Posted October 21, 2019 Author Posted October 21, 2019 i just did R15 and got the same scores using your tool compared to my old score which was removed... http://hwbot.org/submission/4093412_mikebik_cinebench___r15_ryzen_5_2600_1222_cb was the old Quote
mikebik Posted October 21, 2019 Author Posted October 21, 2019 better score was benchmate. which was only using 11 of the the 12 threads. Quote
Splave Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 benchmate would say guarded by benchmate in the title of the program so it doesnt seem you are running benchmate at all? Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted October 21, 2019 Crew Posted October 21, 2019 (edited) open benchmate, select CB R15 and run it. After CB completes open CPUZ for CPU and mem tab (make sure the rendered scene does not get blocked). Afterwards click on the benchmate program and click on save score. Another window will open and click once more on save on the new window. the score will will be saved in the result folder of the benchmate program. A valid screenshot will look something like this: Nobody ever said your score was cheated or invalid, but now being guarded by the BenchMate programwe know for sure nothing is wrong with it. That you score similar means the load of the app is really low, which is good. So you can competivively bench!! Edited October 21, 2019 by Leeghoofd 2 Quote

You are right, these scores were not made with BenchMate. I can't even see it open in the taskbar. @mikebik What happened here? Would like to get your feedback to make BenchMate more user-friendly. It should be as intuitive as possible. Quote
AvengedRobix Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 but benchmate don't give point =( 1 Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted October 21, 2019 Crew Posted October 21, 2019 (edited) benchmate scores will be integrated with the other subs in the near future. For now you can take the screenshot from the benchmate result folder and sub these in the non benchmate categories... safe and points = win win Edited October 21, 2019 by Leeghoofd 2 Quote

thehumangerm Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 (edited) Changing rules in the middle of a season with no notice and no forewarning is unprofessional. I am all for making the system as fair as possible but this is being handled very poorly. You are going to loose a lot of people over this. If you want the community to grow this kind of thing needs to stop. Fix the broken website and be constant and fair in your changes. It isn't much to ask. There is a lot of renewed interest in benching and you are doing everything you can to stifle it. Edited October 22, 2019 by thehumangerm Quote
cbjaust Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 What rules were changed midseason @thehumangerm? The rules around What can an cant use Windows 8/10 have been in place for a long time. 1 Quote

There has to be some changes matey & it's better sooner than later OR hwbot archive is full of lack of a word " more bugged scores " That's the idea of Benchmate. A wrapper to keep the benches safe & reliable. A transition period that was needed to start 10 years ago. It was all to easy super bug, tamper scores. Quote

That's already implemented with version 0.9.x. You can verify that there has been no changes of resources that are used by CINEBENCH by having a look at the "Textures/Models" row in the result dialog. 196...073 is correct for R15. If one bit is out of order there would be a different number. BenchMate 0.10 improves this feature by showing an invalid score when the Textures/Models file integrity hash is out of order. That's not really good practice because I'd rather like to check these values based on the benchmark version that's used, but that would need to be implemented on the server-side (HWBOT). That will take some time as you know. Step by step. @mikebik The score looks good now. Be sure that the result dialog is on the screenshot. That's the best we can do right now without direct submission to the appropriate categories. As leeghoofd said this is in the works with the devs of HWBOT. Edited October 22, 2019 by _mat_ 2 Quote
mikebik Posted October 22, 2019 Author Posted October 22, 2019 wouldn't the verified screen which can't be moved be good enough... Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted October 24, 2019 Crew Posted October 24, 2019 nope, we still require at this moment 2 CPU-Z screens (for CPU & MEM) Quote
