I am on the very first A04! and it works very well up to FCLK 1900. Is it worth to flash the A05O1 to get higher FCLK/RAM overclocking? or is there another better BIOS that works best for that? my actual settings that work: thank you in advance Quote
SparkysAdventure Posted June 30, 2022 Author Posted June 30, 2022 @unifyx I would personally recommend A05O1, yes. That one is my personal favorite for OC. Newer ones may be better for FCLK, though. 1 Quote
Wasmachineman_NL Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 (edited) Is the B550 Unify-X compatible with Ryzen 1000 and 2000 CPUs? Speaking of compatibility, what about Windows 7? EDIT: So apparently it should support Zen/+. Cool. Win7 support is still up in the air though. Edited August 6, 2022 by Wasmachineman_NL Quote
SparkysAdventure Posted August 7, 2022 Author Posted August 7, 2022 Supposedly, Windows 7 can work, though the situations where it would be relevant are limited. I have heard reports of Zen 1 working, but I have not tested it myself. Quote

Don't underestimate how autistic some people (like yours truly here!) can be about Windows 7. t. 5950X/C8DH/6900 XT under Win7 Quote
cbjaust Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 My guess is you'll be able to get Win7 going with CPU and board but not with 6900 XT. Also Wi-Fi definitely and usb probably will be a bit hit and miss. Quote

Wasmachineman_NL Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Is the 2.5GB Realtek LAN on the B550 U-X supported under Win7? Quote

unityofsaints Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I just acquired one of these to replace my dead Impact, what's the best BIOS and in-O.S. utility these days for Vermeer? Quote
unityofsaints Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 @Sparky's__Adventurethe Command Center Light linked above is bugged for multi control, I can only set BCLK and Vcore. Quote

That old CCL does not support Cezanne. IIRC Vermeer too (correct me if I'm wrong). But it worked perfectly with Zen2 chips. Including per-core OC. https://hwbot.org/submission/4848296_denvys5_superpi___1m_ryzen_5_3600_8sec_400ms 1 Quote

I just found out that at least some B550 boards are able to run older chips on pre-Zen3 bioses Everything back to Ryzen 3 1400 worked fine for me. Windows 7 is o.k. as well: 1 Quote
unityofsaints Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 (edited) Zenstates is the jam for multi control in Win 7, works reliably. Edited November 24, 2022 by unityofsaints Quote
