Have had x3 12600K's...all are pretty meh. IMC is weaker. Best of the 3 can use 3866. Can post 4K Freq, but is very unstable. (This is DDR4 based, gear 1) Only x1 12700K and does 4133 fairly easily. I'm done buying anymore 12600K's. If I get another one, it'll be binned good one. Edited February 7, 2022 by richiec77 2 Quote

Broken APEX49 Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Hello. Which BIOS is suitable after all? Quote
Rtas Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Hello! I seem to be having an enormous amount of trouble getting USB 3/3.1 to work under older OSes during the setup phase. I've attempted Windows XP and 7 all with various forms of both manual and automatic driver integration of the universal XHCI win8 backport, however it simply won't work - in XP this may perhaps be expected since I was unable to locate a TXT-based XHCI driver, however the fact that it doesn't work in 7 with boot.wim driver integrations simply boggles the mind. Could really do with some help from those who've already figured it out on this motherboard! NOTE: I've also tested out the macrium reflect image posted by @GtiJason , however it seems to lock up during the winlogon phase - gets to the GUI logon but only to the point of displaying the Windows XP logo with no text underneath, and from there it seems to lock up. On occasion the mouse and keyboard are in fact usable on this frozen screen, however it doesn't progress further. Quote

Dont have a good A2 Kit to test but i think A2 is easier to overclock with gear 1 and 4000c12+. I cant see your Subtimings.. maybe you got same problem that i had with tight Subs. Example: 3900c12-11 tight tWCL 9 no problem. 4000c12-11 tight tWCL 9 not working... 4000c12-12 tWCL 11 working but this made the 32m result slower than the 3900c12. If showing single channel sounds like ram is not in the correct slots. 2 and 4 is what you use for 2 sticks. 4000c14 will need a top bin kit to run try 4000c15 and if that doesnt work then lower frequency to 3866. 2 Quote
