Today i test with a 5700XT, RX580 and a R9 295X2 with CSM mode enabled it works on a Z690 with X4b Bios and 13900K

hello , i have some issue with Z690Tachyon /13900k/kingston6400cl32...  after i loaded the memory profile for M-die ( from first post),  board now behave strage , after i shut off the psu from power switch and start sistem again  at boot will not post  and debug display led is off , all led´s on mb  lit , fan spring but no post , after ~ 15 secondss if i pres again power button from MB starts  normally .

i updated again X4b bios and F20 ( from official website) via Q-Flash from bios or via dedicated usb flash back port , but  same issue ..

what i did wrong ?

It can be so much what goes wrong. Maybe it’s your PSU or Mem settings are not 100% perfect for your setup. I’ve never had this problem that postcode led was off. Only if CPU was in CBB, but I think you are at the moment on Air.

I had something similar after playing around with  too much ram settings. cleared cmos disconnected SSD flashed the latest bios from official website. had to redo bios flash twice before i had those bugs out of my Tachyon on a completely clean USB. using single bios option set.

i mesured the bios battery CR032-3V and was 3,1V so i change it with brand new one  3,3v  but same issue , so before  was all ok  thats way can´t be my PSU or other hw parts ,   is something that change in the bios ..anyway  after 3 years of  xoc pause i touch for first  time in last 3 years  an xoc board ,  cpu is not really good as the x4b bios say only 79 biscuits ,  test are  on cascade cooling !

 i have only one stick of DDR5 , as i wanted A-Die , i brought that stick only to start the platform

My good friend lend me both 13900K and Hynix A-Die couple days ago, IMC is not that good but enough for run 8K for GB3.. @Hicookiestill take care of this great board, remarkable job from him.. profiles from@sergmann are really good for starting point, thanks dude..

Hi, did you solve this issue? I have the same problem.

Update bios for several times till you saw " bios update do not turn off or reset mainboard" or something like that , thats happend after you flash the bios via bios flash back , after update mainboard will starts from alone and give you that message , just waiting finish the update and all will starts normal .

I think some oc settings pushed to limits in the ddr tab will corrupte partial the firmware. 

But nothing bad just patience.

Just a question to AMD users who isn`t possible to start with new GPU`s.

Have you tried to enable 4G encording? I`m playing at the moment with 4090 and have enabled resize bar. Without entrering 4gb encoridng it wasn`t possible to start system

F21 best bios for 2R(Dual Rank) ака 2х32Gb, +400Mhz on M-die vs F20n.

waiting for Xbios&avx512 based on F21?

Beside Rocket Lake + A-Die, I'm amaze of how good Z690 Tachyon handles M-Die with Alder Lake on X4b bios. With my CPU and Mems, 7200 30-40-40 was never done on air before. X4b simply make it happened.

DDR5-8000 boots with F20b woot!. Not stable though, going to try X4B now. 

Edit: Neither BIOS (AVX/ Non) booted with the 13900K. Back to F20 for now. Maybe try F21.

New bios version x5d (Support RTX 4080) and new GTL-Tool are uploaded in the first post.

Please make screenshots from your settings if you don`t know exactly what you have to enter in the settings. profiles from x4a are not compatible!

 

Stable Biscuit value.... as good as asus sp. Now showing biscuits even after overclocking is applied ?. X5d Kinda forces a little less ram speed but more stable ?

Biscuits at last and better mems ?

all new bios versions have few parts of new official bios but have other features which are not included in official bios. It’s always a mix.

of you need AVX512 version, please choose x4 version which is also uploaded here. X5 version is optimized for 13th gen without AVX512 menu

At the moment I can’t upload any bios versions with support for your GPU and AVX512 Support for 12th Gen CPU’s. You can choose x5 for better Mem performance and your GPU but without AVX512.

as soon it will be possible to upload bios with all features, I’ll do it. But nobody can say how it will be possible, at the moment it doesn’t work!

you can try to modify x5 bios by yourself to have AVX512 and support for your GPU.

But be careful, I have tested it with another bios and couldn’t start my system with 12gen CPU, this is why I don’t create x5 bios with AVX512!

New Bios is uploaded with AVX512 support especially for BOBKOC, I hope you are happy now.

Don`t forget mate, not all vendors do it for they users .

Microcode selection only with 12th gen CPU’s available
