unityofsaints Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Well @Massmanisn't really around much anymore so I take the honour of opening this thread I don't have a chip on hand myself yet but I'm keen to see some results. 6 GHz should be achievable on ambient for singlethreaded stuff so let's see some scores at that frequency too. 1 Quote
flanker Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 It will be interesting, seems in 32M is Zen4 only a little better in IPC than Zen3. But I need test it Quote

flanker Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Yes, I bought all, 13900KF, 7950X+Gene So Christmass for me First I will start with gene+7950X 1 Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Let me start. I don't have a 5GHz run and the efficiency is probably way off, plus timings might be plain wrong, but anyway... I only had 1 day to play with the system and not sure when will be able to do again, but hopefully soon. I was able to beat the current AMD top score as well: https://hwbot.org/submission/5125310_ 3 Quote
flanker Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 did u tried also different FCLK and UCLK clocks? If example 6000 DDR5 tight timings could be better or not? Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) Didn't have mich time. This combination was giving me best results in 7zip. DRAM voltage is limited and the board has only one bios. Don't think I can tighten timings much more at 6000. Edited November 21, 2022 by I.nfraR.ed Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 A little improvement 6GHz https://hwbot.org/submission/5178335_i.nfrar.ed_superpi___32m_ryzen_9_7950x_4min_45sec_747ms 5GHz https://hwbot.org/submission/5178336_i.nfrar.ed_superpi___32m_ryzen_9_7950x_5min_38sec_598ms 2 2 Quote
Gorod Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 I.nfraR.ed , DDR5-6800 on AM5 that is super impressive ? What did you do to push it that high ?! Or just super strong sample ? 7950X i got only goes to 6500 so far Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 @GorodJust lucky with the IMC, I think. Max I've been able to run so far is 7400 (on LN2 though). It could always be some MSI magic, but I doubt it. Quote
Domdtxdissar Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 My good 7950x which could run 6600MT/s and 2200FCLK died with a cracked IO die so i'm limited to my spare cpu. (6200MT/s and 2100FCLK max on normal ambient) 6000mhz 5000mhz 2 1 Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 (edited) A better memory with unlocked PMIC and around 1.30sec faster. Also easy 14.770 y-cruncher 1b (prev best with same mem speed and comparable cpu clocks around 15.0xx). It should give me a nice boost on LN2. 6GHz update 4m 44.272s Edited March 30, 2023 by I.nfraR.ed 4 1 Quote

I have a 7950X now so hopefully can chime in soon. Did you get big gains from disabling one CCX? Edited April 27, 2023 by unityofsaints Quote
unityofsaints Posted May 6, 2023 Author Posted May 6, 2023 (edited) Well, it's a score. Can't do 6G on air, need to get my chiller set up again and find my AM4 block. At least it's below 5 mins ? First time I'm benching 32M "seriously" since 1800X. Edited May 6, 2023 by unityofsaints 3 Quote
chew* Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 (edited) Finally logged in. What's up infra. Don't think I have a 6gig cpu. Where should we start? OS? 7,10,11? Edited May 9, 2023 by chew* 1 Quote
flanker Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 win10 PS: i propably can run 6 GHz 32M with AIO on my 7950X (with SMT enabled), but I do not know what happens with more tight timings on CPU clocks stability (now I have decent stable RAM and boost up to 5975 MHz for best single core) Quote
chew* Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 Probably gonna want to drop speeds a tad as CL24 is a reality......just not sure if its a reality at 6600 yet.....but 6400 is done. Quote
chew* Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 (edited) Test to see where 64g stack up, HwI open entire time to monitor clock speed avg 5040 can't control this cpu. no tweaks shit os just using core 2. Edited May 15, 2023 by chew* 1 Quote

chew* Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Merely showing possibilities. c24 32m stable is one of them. Quote
