der8auer Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Quick mounting preview Launch is next week Quote
Hondacity Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 1. the exposed ring freezes up fast and lots of condensation forms. 2. the extra large hole isn't friendly with the regular thermocouples. maybe add a small hole Quote
der8auer Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 (edited) 1. the exposed ring freezes up fast and lots of condensation forms. 2. the extra large hole isn't friendly with the regular thermocouples. maybe add a small hole 1. It's only few mm and due to the POM mounting plate there is no big "cold transfer". 2. The hole seems a lot larger than it is because of the angle. It's only 2,5mm diameter. My old Pots like BEAST rev1 had 4,5mm hole and I read all the opinions of the last publishing. So the new pot will have only 2,5mm looks good any info about price? Thanks Will publish the price in few days on my homepage. Edited April 6, 2012 by der8auer Quote
der8auer Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 Haha dino I already found a name No Blitzkrieg-Pot Quote
der8auer Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 (edited) Well the condensation around the top is not a problem. Took this picture after 4h of benching: You can see that the mounting material is very good and there is not much ice on the top Only ~1 cm around the top. Edited April 7, 2012 by der8auer Quote
Hondacity Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 why don't you make it flush with the bracket? it'd lessen the frost on the exposed ring Quote
der8auer Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 It was planed to be flush at the beginning. These mounting plates are water jet cutted. I ordered 14 mm black POM. Last week the guy calls me and says they only have 10 mm white left... But it still works fine Quote
