K404
I just thought of something...... my driver pen has about 30 options for Vista + 7...... now it can be cut back to 2 :D
AndreYang
I am not sure hwbot allow this tweak for vantage. You know we can change LOD until 27 if you know how to change. More higher LOD got more higher GT1. I think more and more people will get higher GT1 soon. Maybe 03 05 06 higher???? no ideas. This is my vantage single card result. gpu clock 1855/1900 cpu 5.7G http://www.3dmark.com/3dmv/4500052 Is it allowed really??

rsnubje
For the ones who like to have a prefixed Inspector: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B8FS21dWWJNqRXNMV193c1hva1U It goes up to 30 and has an experimental 50 LOD in it.
Christian Ney
Just noticed that I had to do the testing with the CPU running at 5 GHz so results are more consistent. (for 01, AM3, 03, 05 and 06) I will redo the testing asap. nVidia's LOD Effect on HWBOT Benchmarks But at least you see what it does to 3DMark Vantage, 11 and Unigine Heaven. rsnubje
I was having doubts too, but I started creating higher than 15 so why not go on till 30 More or less went to that because Andre noted 27 LOD.
I.nfraR.ed
He noted it, but it's arguable if higher LOD gives you higher result. Based on my testing during the CountryCup, LOD 4(5) was best for the low end cards in Vantage. Unfortunately I don't have any high end models, it might be different there. faust2016
I've done some testing on the LOD too. The scores seemed to get better as I set the LOD higher (GTX 460 768MB and 560 Ti). Only problem is that the newer drivers don't allow me to run the GPU's over 1GHz.. So when going cold the driver/LOD tweak is kind of useless. Is there a workaround for this problem? K404
Not that anyone knows of so far At least its a level playing field Using Fermi? Use 275/285/296 drivers. Using Kepler? Use
Dancop
Do you know, what is to be done, to get lod with tri sli or sli working properly? I get it working, but I'm loosing lot of points in SLI...single cards works great - what am I doing wrong
FatBoyNotSoSlim
Necroing this thread to ask... Is changing LOD possible for DX11 based benchmarks for ATI cards? So far I've only managed to get SETLOD to work on DX9. Not sure if I'm making a mistake, or this is normal/by design.

newlife
Has anybody tried this with Maxwell and actually seen a increase because I'm losing about 30% just by enabling sparse grid supersmapling
