E-mil Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Is this AQWrapper BUG or something else? http://hwbot.org/submission/2517875_pipejarcore_aquamark_radeon_r9_270x_414636_marks AQW shows 2 graphics used --> GPU-Z shows only one card (crossfire disabled) Quote
Crew pro Posted April 22, 2014 Crew Posted April 22, 2014 Hi Gen I like the wrapper, the info in it is great and the integration is great, it is moving in the right direction, however the scoring is very inconsistent We played around last week with it, and from run to run we can see 20K variance, just re-running it can be 10K higher or lower. I think any further development on the wrapper should be to lighten it and improve the score consistency. Quote
E-mil Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Yes, something is wrong with wrapper. Here we go again: http://hwbot.org/benchmark/aquamark/rankings?hardwareTypeId=videocard_2114#start=0#interval=20 http://hwbot.org/submission/2535467_pipejarcore_aquamark_radeon_r9_270x_437453_marks Quote

Unfortunately as I have explained before, this behavior (especially on nvidia) has no link to the wrapper. This was the case with the original wrapper, the original v2, and the new rewritten version. As you might have noticed, the wrapper uses as much resources as having a mspaint window opened during the benchmark. There is no watchdog (a la XTU) that might interfere with the benchmark, its sole purpose is to make sure you start the benchmark with the default settings & files and that you don't alter the screenshot. If you have any suggestions as to what might trigger this behavior I'm more than happy to listen and fix/implement the changes. Yes, something is wrong with wrapper. Here we go again: http://hwbot.org/benchmark/aquamark/rankings?hardwareTypeId=videocard_2114#start=0#interval=20 http://hwbot.org/submission/2535467_pipejarcore_aquamark_radeon_r9_270x_437453_marks What am I supposed to see there? That he ranked twice with same card? Don't blame the software for a website bug. That he has two cards detected in wrapper, out of which one is not properly installed? Quote
E-mil Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 It's about the second question you notice. Is that wrapper BUG or just wrong detection of hardware? Quote
GENiEBEN Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 It's about the second question you notice. Is that wrapper BUG or just wrong detection of hardware? The video card detection is provided by GPU-Z. It's not a bug, it simply detects a second card (most likely the integrated one?) which has no driver installed, so it doesn't affect his score. For now I've blocked his score (again) for missing the gpu-z window (again). Quote
E-mil Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 @GENiEBEN I have 2 more question: Does integrated card (if has properly installed driver) affect on aquamark score? Second one is about how AQ calculate final score. GFX + CPU score. Look at these two SS: http://img.hwbot.org/u25693/image_id_1143825.png http://img.hwbot.org/u15712/image_id_1063741.png 1. GFX=83479 - CPU=38764 - final score= 406162 2. GFX=84349 - CPU=39052 - final score= 405530 Lower GFX score and lower CPU score gives higher final AQ score. How it is possible? Quote
GENiEBEN Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 1. No it doesn't. 2. Interesting, I will have to look over the code and see if there's something wrong, although I remember being a bug fix in between 2.51 and 2.55 regarding scores. Quote
benchmark.kz Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Hello everyone. I don't know why, but i can't to submit that file: http://yadi.sk/d/4VimcekRNWUyq Invalid data file: Unable to parse the datafile Tried re-test few times, but have no results. Quote
benchmark.kz Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Try downclocking cpu before saving. Tryed, doesn't help. That file in slow mode (800 Mhz on CPU) http://yadi.sk/d/cAzytz2fNXhu5 Last time I it makes valid ok.. May be i need something from software VC++ 2008 VC++2012 installed.. May be something else? GENiEBEN Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Dependencies where installed with installer (unless there was some error). Check your installed programs list for VC2008 v9.X and VC2010. Can you also try on a fresh system? What config is it btw? Quote
benchmark.kz Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Dependencies where installed with installer (unless there was some error). Check your installed programs list for VC2008 v9.X and VC2010. Will check it, thanks. Can you also try on a fresh system? What config is it btw? It works random-like. I'm using Norton GHOST images for benching. One time wrapper works well, other time - not. Searching dependencies... Does system date matter? Config is: Windows XP (Russian) Asrock Z87 OC Formula Core i7 4770K under SS (different clocks, including 800 MHz) G.Skill Flare 2x2 GB SSD Kingston SSD NOW 120 GB And a lot of different VGAs :-) Quote
GENiEBEN Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 System date shouldn't matter for wrapper, but website or openssl might care, so I advise keeping up-to-date. Is it possible for you to test using an English variant of XP? The problem seems to be on the website part tho, it basically complains that one of the fields it tries to read is not in the form it expects it to be. Will have to check with RB on this, hold on. benchmark.kz Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 tryed on English version of XP - works ok. Quote

Last night I played with Aquamark, and i got some interesting results. Yes, I got 3 times the same results. GENiEBEN, how you explain this? 1. GFX=83479 - CPU=38764 - final score= 406162 2. GFX=84289 - CPU=39170 - final score= 406162 3. GFX=84244 - CPU=39176 - final score= 406162 If you need, I have .hwbot files for upload. Quote
GENiEBEN Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Fix is still pending, thanks. Btw, did you run all one after another? Quote
E-mil Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 No. First one was 3 months ago, and between 2. and 3. run was another with diferent score (410323) Quote
trodas Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 At least Aquamark install went absolutely smoothly on Win7 SP1 64bit Czech, as there was problems before with the localization... Good to see that this is a thing from the past and all it working nicely now! :ws: Quote

GENiEBEN Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 If you use an Laptop with Nvidia Optimus Technologie Aquamarks Says there are two HD 4000 Graphiccards and no Nvidia Graphiccard I am aware of that 'problem', it's because GPU-Z does not indicate the active GPU when dumping the report file. trodas Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 HW bot Aquamark wrapper crash each time on Core 2 Extreme X6800 CPU. I'm reasonably sure, that it is because of the CPU for these reasons: - same mainboard, OS, ram & GFX card (everything) + Pentium 4 650 = it worked - it does not matter what clock the CPU is running or what GFX card are used (FX 5600XT, R 9600 XT) - on the very same machine the original Aquamark 3 is working well: ... I also tried not installing it (eg. reinstalling it, after windows reinstall) - it only lose the nice black skin, yet it still crash each time with this message: No idea, what to do... but pls hit me with sobe debug version or something... because I feel like that I can break some records. Already own few there: http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/radeon_9600_xt/ ...and hoping for more Quote
