Officially I surrender. My good looking Haswell died during testing CB on low volts (1.5v), going from -80*C to -105*C. I got BSOD and that's all.   It was QEH6 ES reviewer sample. 1.275v 4/8 @ 5 G

on one side i am happy for ya but on the other i am honestly very jealous.

that says someone with hasfail at 5400 with ln2

50 f or 10 degrees celsius, maybe could squeeze anotehr 100 mhz at 0 degrees ,will go cold as soon as possible.L322B400

We should also post batch and serial numbers from the Costa Rica plant. So far on first page there are only two CPUs from the Costa Rica plant. Got a 3332B365 batch in my hand. Wonder how it OCs.

monitoring few forums, not a single decent costa rica seen, bananananana edition

Yeah, btw here are less Costa-Rica CPUs than Malay.

So far Costa Rica is banana edition Haswell but with strong IMC

So should I even try to install it?

Anyone have info for the following 4770K batches:

L322B390

L327B833

L312b546

3313b439

3315b470

Just curious Vivi,

How many cpu's did you test by now and how many actually were good?

and by good I mean 6.3 GHz+ for at least 2D but better for 3C classic benches

I tested many L310B488, i got about 4 x 6.3ghz cpu's out of about 9 because that batch is just so good.

costa rica's i have tested about 7 - 8 and this one was just lucky.

overall tested about 40 cpu's probly from various batches, and found + - 10 ok cpu's and 3 very good ones

Have you tested all that CPUs under LN2?

Have you tested all that CPUs under LN2?

at first i tested all L310B488 on ln2, then only the 1.4v 5ghz chips did 6.3.

Then after that i didnt test any cpu's that werent below 1.35v.

Is there any chance of a new revision of Haswell CPUs like they used to have in the old Core 2 Duo days? Seems like Haswell at the moment just isn't cutting the mustard. I don't want to go into benching it sub zero knowing there is a good chance that my CPU could die at any moment.

Tested:

4770K, batch 3315B436

Bootable to 4.6GHz 1.3v, superpi 1M possible.

Incoming:

3318B897 Costa Rica

3334C023 Costa Rica

Let's hope at least 1 is good. The shop would let me swap 1 if it was bad tho :)

4670k, Batch L313B428

Tested it on weekend, 6,3 CPU Test 3DM06 and 6,4 during 3DM01 :D There should be more in it, i will try next Session :)

Guess you are more lucky than I am.

3318B897: 4.6GHz @ 1.3v boots to windows

3334C023: 4.5GHz @ 1.3v boots to windows

Not so lucky yet with costa Rica.

Two earlier 4.9GHz air chips I had turned out to only be able to bench superpi 1m @ 5.9GHz @ -120 both.
