  1. Ah, I had similar issues on dice. Got a run at 6 ghz and 1300 core on the 7970, then tried to get dual channel working (pretty sure the board needs a good crc session) and the system stopped posting.
  2. Nice! Looks like I'll need to rebench to beat your score since our clocks are so close
  3. Great comp! Was well organized/ran and I had a lot of fun. Looking forward to Country Cup next week after I catch up on some sleep...
  4. 3d gold on fx :O But couldn't get more clocks out of the cpu? Surely 7 ghz would be doable, I ran 6 ghz on my 9590 on dice ez
  5. One of the 2-3 competitions I pay any attention to during any given year?
  6. No idea, pretested on SS where it did 5.5 for r15 and ran 1950 12-12-12-28 1t http://hwbot.org/submission/3846805_yosarianilives_geekbench3___multi_core_core_i3_7350k_13116_points
  7. I mean define nice, my 7350k had zero issues running 4133 tight on ln2, but too far beyond that was a struggle. At least for gb3
  8. Wish core could go more, maybe with mods and water could be a strong card with this mem
  9. Yes it seems to depend on board and dimm pcb combination. I also found that certain timings stick on some boards with rgb pcb. For example for me it was tcl and tcr on my z270 soc, so I ran 19-12-12-28 2t with 2 dimms or 4 dimms it did not matter. On my apex timings kinda just sucked so it was more around 17-17-17 2t with the same sticks. All just seems to be down to how the traces are laid out on the motherboard and on the memory sticks and how the bios handles memory timings.
  10. At least now that I've taken thuban cold I know that it is 1000% mem bottlenecked above like 4.5 ghz, so that debate has been settled
  11. Good prices from a great seller, GLWS!
  12. If you're in the US I might have a stick that died taking the heatspreader off that I could send for like $5+shipping. Will have to check the pcb when I get home tonight.
  13. Should be easier to strip at the very least. I wonder if server 2016 would be even better as it'd have any instruction set advantages that win 10 has while also being able to be stripped to a much greater degree.
  14. Yeah, depending where it is and how much gear you bring with you sometimes a flight is cheaper than the gas for a drive and much shorter.
  15. Shame this board was bclk limited, only ended up with about 100 mhz more than was binned on ss with civf board. Still a really fun bench session with richie introducing him to ln2, would do again
  16. Pretty sure he has a guide on his youtube channel "actually hardcore overclocking", hope you're ready to pull out a soldering iron
  17. @Leeghoofd@richba5tard Any progress on this? I know for example that my 6.36 ghz 7350k r15 results of 711 (355.5 per core) is not being applied to our score while a 5.2 ghz 6700k r15 result of 1176 (294 per core) is. Hopefully this ranking is sorted by end of comp.
  18. Install an old version of cpuz on top of the newer version, I've found latest cpuz has issues with spd. If you're running portable cpuz then
  19. Bclk got worse at lower temps as well as higher multis. Was able to boot at least 400 bclk at -100c and lower multi. Not sure if cpu is core limited or limited by the combination of temps, bclk, and multipliers that are possible. If anyone knows how to force single core boost to all cores please let me know, should help me narrow down what's holding me back. msrtweaker doesn't work at all and k10stat didn't seem to do anything useful
  20. Good point, I've added a question to see where people would like the bench meet to be held.
  21. So last year for Team Cup we started to get organized for the first time in a while and as a result we managed 2nd overall and kept Team AU from sweeping all stages. This year we're shooting for first, and one thing that will help us get there is if we can get a bench meet going. Currently the situation is that we're looking for a sponsor so it may end up being that people would need to pitch in to help cover the venue and ln2. So basically creating this poll to see if there's enough interest to have a bench meet and to get an idea of how big of an event to plan for. Open to comments and suggestions as well. Edit: Added question to see what region would work best for everyone
