Too much sponsoring in OC League!!!
Mikecdm replied to Moose83's topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestions
IMOG went pro just so to help out OCF for the Pro Cup and so that they would have representation. As for my opinion on this, I always liked a single league. I don't see how I can honestly say i'm ranked xx when people are being forced to move the the now non-existent pro league. I'll use myself as an example. I'm currently ranked #2 in the US. I can't honestly think that I'm ranked #2 in the US when there are people in the "pro league" who might be ranked higher. People like vince will be a given that they be ranked higher, but I'd know where I stand. There are quite a few who just do reviews but don't post spectacular scores, maybe I'm ahead of them and maybe I'm not. The same thing would apply to the global rankings. I'm around 20th, but there might be about 50 so called pro's who could be ahead of me. I'd be fine with a rank of 70 instead of 20. I don't need to exclude people to have a higher rank. As for the argument of PCM05, I fall in the same boat. A good majority of my high global scores are from pcm05. The truth is that I enjoy benching and my motivation is the points and rankings. Some might say points is the wrong reason for benching, but when I enjoy benching, it doesn't really matter what I bench, I'm still having a good time. I don't have the hardware to compete with some people and I'm fine with it. It's also odd that Moose insults ronaldo and his countrymen for complaining about certain things and trying to get rules changed to benefit them and then goes to suggest something like this. -
In US, M6E and Hero were available last week, I first saw MVG yesterday I think.

Nice, been wanting to try one of these. -
As much as I don't want titan to be allowed because I'm at a disadvantage, I voted for it. It's been posted already that it was to be accepted, so I think it should stand. Likewise, the same rules say "next generation intel platform" and no mention of other platforms.

I never said that you are rude or disrespectful. You may not see it, but I believe that many people perceive your posts as whining. Whenever there is a rule or competition that does not benefit you, you always try to have rules changed so that they do. In the end, whether or not the rules changed, you never disappoint. All of your results end up being top notch. Not so long ago, you were saying something about how difficult it is to get titans in brazil and next thing you know, you had a titan. You don't like es chips because you can't get them. I can't get them either, but I'm not complaining. The idea of "pro" was for those who work for vendors and have unlimited access. You chose to compete against the best, despite not having the same manufacturer support. Now you want rules to change because they don't work in your favor. You signed up for this. You knew what you were getting into. In this thread alone you have questioned the all out stages, using xeons for cinebench, and now es chips.

I still don't understand why you can't accept that life isn't fair. You complain about every single thing that doesn't work in you favor. Then when you continue to post impressive results, despite all odds being against you, you make a sob thread to show how you persevered adversity.

I'm pretty sure that you qualify. The way that I interpret the rule is that a minimum of 15 people will advance or 50% of participants, whichever is great. So we would have needed over 30 participants in order to have more than 15 people advance. Since there so few, everyone advances. I asked in the thread and massman confirmed that this is how it is. As for pronunciation of your country, If I were to say it in English, it would be Columbia and that is how Americans spell it. If I were to say it in spanish, then it'd be Colombia as you pointed out. Kind of how spanish speaking countries abbreviate USA with EEUU, (estados unidos).

As much as I don't like the idea of the titan, mainly because I lack the skill to mod one and am not willing to risk modding a $1k card, it's already been stated to be allowed. Not allowing titan is almost like saying you wont' allow a really fast cpu because it's not fair to those who don't have a really fast cpu. It's just part of the game. Personally I think it'd be better to use something like a 780 lightning, in order to highlight an MSI product, but thats just my opinion. One thing that I would certainly hope that doesn't change is .That pretty much means only haswell. Focus on one platform and thats it. No need for sb-e. As for benches, I think 32m would be good. A big fat no on heaven. I'd rather do fs-e again. I don't mind cinbench and now that it offers globals, it wouldn't be a bad idea. But once again, only haswell. One thing that I really don't like is the one person per country rule. In the americas, we have limited participation. It seems as if some participants can place poorly and still go to finals due to rule loophole.

actually, that is impressive. Didn't you can do that on a ddr3 board. Too bad I killed my good sempy booting 1.9v on air -
that is a good idea, only way to have an idea of what others have is by beating their scores.

very nice chip and amazing bclk -
There is about 12-13mm from inside of the base to where meets the sleeve portion. You probably don't need much acetone, but once is starts bubbling i'm sure it will go over. I've had the Tek9 fat leak using acetone and I have more room.

I was setting 1.8v in bios and the dmm would show about 1.85v with only 2 cores. Then I switched to 4c/8t and all of a sudden was booting in 1.95v+ and would get near 2v under load. That was at the same 1.8v set in bios. Even memory voltage spiked up reaching over 2v, where previously it was around 1.88v and set to 1.85v in bios.

I'm having troubles as well, but your efficiency is better than mine.
