Rampage IV Extreme TurboV issue
Mikecdm replied to der8auer's topic in Sandy Bridge-E / Ivy Bridge (X79) OC
is turbo enabled in bios? Even using turboV lite, I need turbo enabled so that i can change the multi in windows. This is on a P9X79pro, the only board I have at the moment. -
I'm sure it would, the globals are the reward and motivation. Without them, I see no point in running the bench. Very few chips are worth any decent amount of points. Some people might argue that points aren't the reason for benching, but they can be what gets one motivated. Just like money, prizes, or anything else that can motivate a person to push their hardware. Don't get me wrong, it feels good to take out the #1 spot in a certain category or get that overal top score, but the big globals helps serve as motivation, at least it does for me. Beating moose or any of the other top guys also feels damn good Funny thing is that I was never notified about my "invalid" scores. Compared to other valid scores, they seemed perfectly inline and I thought it must be some sort of glitch or error on FM's side of things. But one day I got a nasty email, in which I was basically accused of being a cheater and threatened with a 1 yr ban and a couple of scores were blocked.

Those have been brought to my attention and I've been trying to get hlep figuring out what is the issue. I uploaded scores from the same session that were few hundred points lower and were perfectly valid. I have only noticed it when running AMD. Here is FM response from a few days ago. I'm not sure if any further action has been taken from HWBOT staff or Fm.

You need to slow it down. Transferring a file or just about anything should be enough

I'm not positive on this, but when i set timings to expert mode, it reads off like that. When I set to quick, it reads fine. I think on expert it sets each channel individual, but like i said, I'm not totally sure. Just a quick observation that hasn't been tested. -

Sounds like fun, I'd get in on the fun.

Something that I've noticed in all of the new 3dmark beches, is that when the graph shows "no monitoring data," the score is always inflated. It's as if it were a bugged run. I've run several times where at same clocks I get a run that shows that and the score is 100-200 points higher than a run with the graph. For competitions on Hwbot, the graph is mandatory or the result is invalid. I don't think this applies to the regular rankings though. I have not seen it in the rules, but when are those ever up to date.

That's what I would like to do.

I'll have to work on it some. I've been spending a lot of time running 32m on haswell, but no clue on this platform. Its probably the first time I've ever ran 32m on amd. -

Thanks, but I'm sure that target score will get beat several times, unless everyone wants to sandbag the entire month. -

Thanks, it was very frustrating. -
I only fill out what is pertinent to the bench. For cpu-z subs, I only do cpu, mb, and cooling. For a pi 32m sub, I'd do cpu, memory, mb and cooling. Only for a 3d bench would I fill out the card, along with the previously mentioned stuff. I think an asterisk besides "mandatory" fields and highlighted in red would suffice.

Apparently I used V1.3 for everything. I did all of my MOA subs with that bios and chip ran pretty strong. The only downfall was that bclk changes would lock up system within windows and that i couldn't boot with anything other than 100. I put 1.43 on the 2nd bios and bclk worked fine when testing on air but as soon as I tried ln2 it wouldn't work. Since I had the pot cold already, i flipped the switch and just ran V1.3 with 100 bclk. None of this is taking into consideration obvious issues such as psc not working at 2600 or 2666. Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure the 2600 strap is broken.

I tried 1.43b and could run fine on air but it didnt run cold. Not sure if it was voltage or temp related. On 1.2 it runs fine but bclk doesnt work. Pretty sure it was 1.2 or something close. Never figured out a good solution.

Any tips for installation problems on W7 64?
Mikecdm replied to I.M.O.G.'s topic in Intel XTU HWBOT Integration
on 8.1 preview, .net 2.0 and 3.5 are disabled. There is a way to enable them if you have the disk. I never tried it on w8, but I tried this method successfully on w8.1 and ran xtu. I could not get it to run on w7 though. -
We can only hope that they are sending us x79 board and it'll sit for a few weeks until we can buy retail ivy-e chips.
