  1. Sad Will try some more though
  2. I have one of them. I believe it is a Venom Rev 4 or Rev 5, I have the Rev 5. They have all Intel/AMD mounting except 2011. Earlier Venoms were AMD only, and square-ish. Anyway, huge pot with huge mass and SA = huge cold huge everywhere. ... ><
  3. I wish HWBOT worked that way too, I have a X4 955 result in wP 32M that is last out of three with best efficiency. However here at HWBOT they rank it upon submission times, maybe we should propose it is ranked by best efficiency, because it shows moar skeel.
  4. So, anyone have any tips about max DRAM freq on BD CPUs? I've gotten 1374 on air cooling in the past but can't surpass it on LN2. I also have a hard time running above CL9 with both my sets of PSC.
  5. I tested all four CUs through PSCheck/9913 bios of my 8150 last week. 1st - ~7300 2nd - ~ 7375 3rd - ~ 7060 4th - ~ 7200 I dunno if ram makes that big of a difference or not...but interesting topic.
  6. Hey, lets see this done in softmod too now. Maybe Mad will come up with a biosmod? *tapes name to screen*
  7. Sounds good, I think most are detected correctly by GPU-Z but in case it happens the user can just be asked for confirmation... I mean, it should be a no issue with recent APU/intel GMA HD but for that example there is no way to tell without looking at the mainboard. I think most ATI/NVIDIA are detected correctly though. (AMD HD4xxx IGP weren't for some time in the beginning)
  8. I think this board has a little to do with non-scaling... I think I was able to run 6.8 32M on CHV and I remember pushing CPU-Z ~6980 once for quick binning (BSOD/crash) before running 32M. My 955 is rather horrible. 6830 CPU-Z and 6.6+ 32M but CPU-NB cap at 4200... However CPU-NB does an easy 2800 on air, benched 3D IGP with that CPU @ 4/2.8 for GeForce 8200
  9. @Massman Is it possible to require motherboard CPU-Z too for 3D submissions? On some IGP, GPU-Z does not read correctly. For example, someone had recently submitted several scores for GMA 4500M that absolutely blew mine away: http://hwbot.org/benchmark/3dmark03/rankings?hardwareTypeId=videocard_1950#start=0#interval=20 But I'm afraid they are really GMA 4500MHD (GM45). There is no way to tell in GPU-Z, because 4500M (GL40) is read in GPU-Z as GM45 as well. See CPU-Z and GPU-Z here:http://d1ebmxcfh8bf9c.cloudfront.net/u21589/image_id_818868.png I'm not sure how often it happens, and I know it would be complicated/contrary to current rules but I'd like to know what you think on the matter.
  10. Infra, I'm broke lol. Maybe if I sell the M4A I can afford the 990 UD3 This chip doesn't scale over 1.85v, tried up to 1.92v but didn't help. Worst case I could set 1.9v and vdroop wouldn't hurt, except maybe longevity.
  11. No, at same secondary/tertiary timings the board is just slower. I don't leave that stuff on auto... I mean, I do on intel but I've spent time on AMD tuning those. I can run a lot tighter on CHV on air (to the point where I need 1.85v for 1800 6-6-5 due to cWL = 6) and still not beat efficiency I have on M4A89 @ cWL = 8
  12. @IMOG CVF has efficiency issues, I brought one with me for FX-8150, but it loses about 10 seconds on SuperPi 32M vs 890FX boards/Giga 9x0 boards for Phenom II.
  13. I might have to pick up one of those 970A-UD3 and hardmod for vdroop. I could load Windows up to 5.8-5.9 but that was it... wPrime 1024M for example was dropping threads even down to 5.9 GHz...most of the time too, it crashed with IRQL BSOD which is weird...even OCX Tweaker with affinity to down-clocked core would crash the system with another core clocked up, but fine both clocked down. Outside of SPi 32M I can cover the rest on my CHV without too much a efficiency loss.
  14. 1 and 2 were identical, this one is core 2. Three and 4 are strong-ish too, both ~6.8 However M4A89TD Pro/USB3 is too crap of a board, cant run wPrime 32M even at 6.1 and SPi 32M @ 6.4 so I'll have to switch to Crosshair V or buy a CHIV
  15. 1200 on air is really good though, you have a great IGP. I haven't seen that done on air yet.
  16. Putting FX on LN2 tonight. However I've only hit 1374 or whatever before so I doubt I'll do well.
  17. Well, my board had HT Link multi limit at 8x, so I did what I could 333 MHz divider did not work above 265 HTT but 266 divider was fine up to 350. I think memory speeds, HT Link make a big difference. XP is probably better than Win 7, and Older forceware designed for 8800 series vs newest. I was limited with time (1 1/2 hour) so I did the best I could for my last runs.
