Where are you getting those temps from? There is no way a single stage is getting to -106, and the 3960k seems a little warm but not really sure how the dual evap systems work. Pretty sure you need to have both mounted to help balance the load. Turn off ht and switch to just two active cores see if it can keep that cold. If it doesn't then you have a problem with the unit, if it does than it just can't handle the chip. Get your own temp probe in there too. You can find sdumper on xs or overclock.net he can help more.

tek-9 fat is GREAT for dice, no need to take any extra precautions just normal insulation. I had same problem with the f1 for a sec but its an easy fix any of the ways people have named will work, I made sure mine was sealed off the board and not insulated so I could see that it was working. Duck tape was my method of choice.

Wouldnt it be eaiser to just make new benchmarks that gained you hardware points only untill there was enough competition to warrant global points. If you do it this way I think it will be less of a problem then you think. For instance now there is enough people competing for memory clock to warrant global points, so just give it global points it dosent mean you have to take away points for other benches. Thats how I think benchmarks should earn the "right" to be counted for global points. Its not like your printing currency more global points dosent make current global points any less valuable. Flawed or hackable benches are a diffrent story all together. -

Maybe this is a simple case of me not paying attention to the brand but, I avoid buying there stuff simply because you dont see it, I havent heard many good things said about there newest or even older offerings. A few success stories and an attractive price point and that could change quickly. This may not be fair but I thing for them to get there name out there they are going to need a sub 150.00usd board that could perform up to speed with boards in the 200 dollar range. For instance I am looking for an z77 board with 3 way sli/xfire support at the moment and there only offering is the same price as other boards made by brands ive grown to either trust or at least know what to expect. I usually buy a few mobos for each chipset I decide to bench and its hard to take a gamble on a brand I have never benched with or used and has no big results being posted for it. If these boards are worth buying I would have thought someone would have thrown a 7ghz chip in and tried to create some hype, but they haven't which makes me wonder. Just my 2 cents, and remember you asked.

480 lightning 197.45 driver/rivatuner
reggiesanchez replied to reggiesanchez's topic in General overclocking
Nvidia inspector only works with 2xx drivers. Was hoping for a boost in 01 scores with 197.45 driver but I just got everything working and 197.45 and 260.99 score just about identical, guess that's why all subs are with 2xx drivers. Guess that brings up a new question anybody changing lod with 3xx drivers yet -

In rivatuner? -
Can anyone help me get rivatuner working with 197.45 driver and 480 lightning. I dont see any subs with that driver so maybe its not possible?? Driver works just fine but rivatuner wont change anything. Is there any other way to change lod that I dont know about aside from nvhardpage or rivatuner. Something similar to ati setlod for nvidia?
