Highest stable fsb for 24/7 use?
Calathea replied to Calathea's topic in Trinity / Piledriver / Richland OC
Please do I'm forced to run max 119 MHz fsb/pci-e right now, over that my sound card drops out between reboots. It gives me 4180 MHz on the cpu @ 1.25 Vcore. It can do so much more -

some amd cpus do have IMC coldbug at around -100. What temp do you have problem at? -

Hi Pieter, thanks for the reply. Doesn't seem like GA-F2A85X-UP4 has this option. I'm a bit surprised, but I just can't see anything like PLL choice in bios (now running F5b). -
Highest stable fsb for 24/7 use?

Epic chip http://valid.canardpc.com/x7vym4 To answer my own question - I lost network and audio already at 130 FSB. That's with discrete cards for both, asus dgx pci-e and asus pci-e wifi card. Seems like pci-e frequency is directly tied to fsb on FM2, unlucky! Max stable base clock should be in the whereabouts of 120-125 MHz fsb. I will post some more results with this good chip, 4900 MHz cinebench was easy at 1.475 Vcore (Custom H20 cooling, ambient temp ~20 Celsius.). Pity about the locked multiplier. -

You get boot problem only on ln2? -
Heard of the freezer trick? Just wrapping them in some basic protection and let them cool off in a freezer for like 24 h. I don't know if it's only a myth, but some people reported that it brought back dead or degraded sticks. The opposite would be to bake them in the oven 200 Celsius 10 min. Sure it would fix any bad solder joints but I don't see how it could improve a degraded ddr chip. These are the only two methods I'm aware of.

Hi guys. Just by luck I won an auction on a cheap Athlon X4 740 yesterday. Since my 750K is real bad, requires like 1.55 vcore for 4 500 MHz, I'm pondering the thought of using the 740 instead. I've been benching both A10-6700 and 750k on single stage and could run like 140-150 Mhz fsb. No idea whre I'll end up on air for 24/7 use though. Anyone tried say 120 MHz fsb for everyday use? USB3/Pci-e issues?

I'll just go with Roman's settings for E2220 then ^^ No 1 spot for E2220 is probably bugged
-
I don't think I got any less confused by your answers Genieben

Then there's TONS of bugged runs. I need to use the LN2 today or it will evaporate, should I only bench with -ssse3? I will be beaten by results with 500 Mhz lower clock...
-
So guys what's ok to use? -ssse3 -cpus=56, 60, 64? I Have a little ln2 left for a celeron 450 and don't want to be reported for bugged run Any more tweaks ok?

Quality differs, it's possible you have a bad ocing card. Also my guess is everyone close to 1 GHz core has volt modded it since stock volts can only take you so far. -

Depends on how you define lucky. Bugged to hell and back is what other would call it! -

this shouldn't be ok...the benchmark is too flawed and destroys competition. -
Thanks for sharing Moose! I don't like this bench really, but it has opened up benching with some cool 1 and 2 core cpus.. and that's great
