Getting honor back into the game
Completely agree, I just figure that's the reasoning for it, still stinks. Comes down to a matter of balls vs lipstick+kneepads in the end. Becoming hard to find a review that doesn't have ZOMG L337 Award at the bottom recently.

Is GB stealing my Mhz ?
So true. Concerning for non K users. I guess they won't be reaching full speed any time soon.

Getting honor back into the game
If you're writing independent reviews not affiliated to any site you hold no weight whatsoever. Say something the pr guys don't like, you could be dropped in a second. Wanna keep getting gear? Say nice things. At least he lays every morsel of info out there on a silver platter with extensive testing to boot. Even if it does have a "I LOVE GIGABUT" tint to it.

Getting honor back into the game
Mark you so silly Sin isn't Gigabyte staff either. He just loves Gigabyte lots and lots! I highly doubt there is anything wrong with the board other than the way its been advertised. There is still honor in the game, you just wont find it advertised on the front page of XS and hwbot too often. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=264837 http://www.overclock.net/overclock-net-hwbot-team/997559-memory-madness-mkii-competition-now-open.html Threads like that are great examples of that. People overclocking for fun without MFRs sticking their nose in, all prizes bought and paid for, no MFR imposed limits, no sandbagging ( fingers crossed ), just people pushing as hard as they can and helping others. I find the 32m results we see in those threads 10 times more impressive than some es990x you would never get your mits on.

The Poll: Allow E.S. or disallow ?
El Gappo replied to BenchZowner's post in a topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestionsLike dis? Took me all of 5 mins to see what review it came from, looks like a nice chip

The Poll: Allow E.S. or disallow ?
El Gappo replied to BenchZowner's post in a topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestionsYeah, but I bet it would look a lot different if you had unlimited access to "A" chips. Time will play a factor too, I bet the es chips you've got were made before the chip went retail. Revised retail steppings following later on. At least they mark them. Someone should write an editorial and oust the buggers

The Poll: Allow E.S. or disallow ?
El Gappo replied to BenchZowner's post in a topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestionsYou tell me lol, hard to see from the data base as you can't see. 740's clearly outpace 720's by a long way. "Media sample" 975's all hit 7gig which was pretty impressive. Not worth thinking about as you cant tell anyways. Maybe BD will be different.

The Poll: Allow E.S. or disallow ?
El Gappo replied to BenchZowner's post in a topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestionsHad a few non retail chips, either before they went retail or chips that never went retail and none have been listed as es in cpu-z. 740 would be a good example, or some of the earlier ( and higher )975 results. They always have a different stepping to retail chips i.e CACDC vs AACDC or are they just for reviews and oem, I dunno.

The Poll: Allow E.S. or disallow ?
El Gappo replied to BenchZowner's post in a topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestionsCompletely abolishing es's would put a big ass dent in hardware sharing too. What's going to happen with the FX es's? Can't usually tell none retail amd chips from cpu-z.

The REV4 public test server! (feedback welcome)
Why not have globals for different architectures or platforms then? Even do what you've done with 3d and have WR points for highest overall.

Team CP sharing 7950GT in April Challenge
If it weren't for you cheating he would be in first place This is all just a little bit silly.

Team CP sharing 7950GT in April Challenge
hwbot cater to hardware sharers and cheaters, they've even developed a new revision just for them. How have you not noticed this with your background in pcmark05 cheating?
