    Sent this over to Massman on Skype earlier: Looking back at it though... Vantage wouldn't work because it would actually require a 5960X to be competitive. Same thing for Fire Strike... Maybe Heaven and AM3 instead?

    I think it may also be nice to limit CPU to 5GHz for at least one (if not all) stages. That makes the air guys much more competitive and encourages cooling experiments.

    I was looking into snagging an Easy 3.0 to replace my 2.5. I'm going to hold off for a bit though... with the extra Paypal/CC fees and shipping it ended up being $230 or so, IIRC.

    I was so confused when I got 7000 with my CPU at 6GHz... Turned out to be VSYNC and I've beaten it by 70K with CPU at 5GHz now

    Looks like you're missing details window. You may also benefit from disabling VSYNC in the drivers. Set to "Force OFF".

    Just an FYI, it seems that Dimastech has ceased operations in the US. They are, however, still running their US Online Store and will honor any pricing (including shipping rates) if ordered from there, though the product will actually ship from Italy. (according to online support)

    I used to live in Louisville, KY where their US RMA center is. The thing is... they made me ship it to them even though I worked two miles away So it still took three days back then.

    Wow. I guess it's quite an advantage being so close to where Intel ships their RMA chips from. It's usually 3-5 days from when I ship it out to when I receive a new chip!
