First bench hard on LN2 and come back.... LN2 is way more frustrating at moments as usually all of your pretesting on air/water makes no sense under extreme cold... also you don't have hours of time to debug why the heck you aren't even close to the other guy's score.... Learning how new harware reacts to cold will already set you back 15-30L of LN2 before you might see a pattern. LN2 benching is not about pushing more volts and get it as cold as possible. The combination of silicon, voltages, logic adaptive debugging and accurate temp control are keypoints here. Another maybe mute point: Talk to the real sponsored guys here, getting them freebies I'll tell you it autmatically brings a lot of pressure. PR people require records otherwise you will get replaced by one that can do it. Your score gets beaten, then they will require you to rebench to be on top again. Best example is Dancop who ruled the Bot but had to give up as it was hampering his social and family llife to bench each evening. No matter what league you are in, to get top spots or lots of points you will have to cash out. You use the word invest a lot. , OC or PC hardware is really never an investment. You buy it and from the moment you walk through the shops door your "investment " already is devaluated. Buy 2 CPUs and still get thrashed, so you sell and buy more to get a cherry sample, Break all scores for your league till another guy finds a better sample. My point of view on OC: I always prefer to bench for efficiency ,try to beat people at equal clocks is the game. If you have less MHz and still get similar scores you are on top. If you cant match or beat him with higher clocks you suck lol.... or he cheated? OC has to remain fun, The goals you set will determine if you will "invest" tons of cash, chasing them virtual points for world wide internet fame might be your thing. If you don't get the Return of Investment, people become bitter and want changes to the system. This implies we are back at the starting line and people just should rethink the aim of their hobby....

So define a close tie to the industry... Which mods are you referring to ?
-
Ow and who's exactly sponsored according you guys? The Top 10 of Elite ? Some others are reviewers, that just post scores with ES samples. So that changes nearly nothing. if we put these peeps in a seperate class. If there are sponsored OCers in enthusiast than these should be honest and move themsleves to Elite Thing is we hope to make a big announcement soon about the future HWBot and some stuff will be altered and more important fixed One of my working points witll be providing points to everybody iso doing a cutoff at a certain percentage, but its too early days.... till then we have to sit and wait the outcome of current discussions....

Country CUP - 10th Anniversary design thread:
Leeghoofd replied to Leeghoofd's topic in HWBOT Competitions
Like stated before the Bot cannot detect which score to use if one user subs multiple subs outscoring the other ones of his teammates on sort like platforms. Dividing by mobo sockets has been broken for ages. So this stage requires some special attention by the mods, why did you think I added 1151 is the same as 1151v2? Anyway all subs in this stage look good so far, so no problem. -
Country CUP - 10th Anniversary design thread:

@yosarianilivesIf the software also has to correct the end users inability to do a proper submit we would have to wait for a higher level of AI to get it working. Just stop being such a loophole whore dude.. It is not because the software can't be 100% configured that you must abuse it.... For the 3Dmark scores with a valid link and a suspicion of Tesselation settings being altered, these will be properly moderated over the weekend.... -

will be removed, the idea behind a valid link is that the OCer doesn't play with any driver setting.... if you spot something out of the ordinary plz report -
Country CUP - 10th Anniversary design thread:
Leeghoofd replied to Leeghoofd's topic in HWBOT Competitions
if Team USA wants to remove some scores plz have an internal discussion which ones as some people still have backups, The Bot can not decide which scores have to go, At the moment the code is still looking for the highest score per hardware and if user 1A does multiple subs on different platforms it will block lower scores from other users. Therefore some planning and internal communication is mandatory before submitting... -

Proposal: Change the time of year for Country Cup 2020
Leeghoofd replied to yosarianilives's topic in HWBOT Competitions
imagine if poll option 1 wins, so we host another Country Cup in January ? Only thing we can do is to reduce the challengers to e.g. a few weeks less so everyone can have a break once in a while.... -

Proposal: Change the time of year for Country Cup 2020
Leeghoofd replied to yosarianilives's topic in HWBOT Competitions
It is all a matter of timing and proper planning... I benched in the evenings... Each evening during 5 weeks. Anyhow where do you want to put team cup then or Gskill or Galax competitions? There will always be pros and cons for any proposed date -

Frustrated, wont let me submit cinebench20
Leeghoofd replied to WarPigs's topic in Rookies Help Rookies
Take into account if you use Benchmate for R11.5/15 and 20, it will verify the rendered scene file too, so a small block of it is tolerated -
