  1. You've submitted AndreYang's back-pocket backup?
  2. There are plenty of PSU modding guides over the net, you can check x-bit's guide or get a PSU with adjustable rails. TerraRaptor, I've never went up to 3.7V.
  3. Try with higher volts on the 3.3V rail. Modded bios is also very important, but I guess you're using one, since you're able to do 250MHz. You can also try L12 hardware mod. I haven't yet killed NF2 chipset with voltage, but if you're not cooling it fine, these volts won't help you. Generally speaking, my boards does not scale good with NB voltage. I have only one board that likes high volts and another one that can't complete 32M at 250MHz with more than 1.6V on the NB I've also had NF7 that can't do more than 250MHz for benches no matter volts/bios/cpu.
  4. Nothing special - 1.85V or so. Don't remember exactly, but this particular board does not scale past 2V on the chipset.
  5. Moisey's Cinebench score is obviously not possible at 4.8GHz, let alone on air.
  6. Congrats to Hellas for the third warm-up win! However we will not leave you win the real deal so easily
  7. Oops, I thought the competition ends after midnight.. I'm at work now so there's no chance to rebench and I don't even have the 740 maxmem screen with me. Fail!
  8. Thanks, kotori-san. Will try to improve it. It was a single run.
  9. So I did test it on air and it seems I took the "supposed-to-be-bad" cpu (other one was doing 3.1+ on same volts). This one can load windows on air with 1.55V set in bios at only 2860MHz, lol. Tell me about binning...
  10. I didn't expect it as well My other 3800+ is LEBDE 0632DAD, but if I'm not mistaken it was worse, however my excel table does not say anything about those 2, so I need to recheck
  11. It's about 215 euro, so I'm not sure if it's worth it. If it was 1/2HP I'd dfinitely buy it. The retail unit seems really overpriced...
  12. Hmm, so it's actually not between the Hailea 500 and 1500, but rather between 300 and 500 Hailea. I know the AC units conversion ofcourse, but it's too big and I liked the idea to mod this one. I wanted to use it mainly with VGAs and SS on the cpu, cause I have only one phase-change unit. That's rather disappointing.
  13. -20 is fine enough and pretty much what I'd expect. Gas is exactly R134a, don't know about the compressor. It's the 750W model, D-D Aquarium Solutions DC750. So you think my idea would work?
  14. Hello, I have the opportunity to get a Hailea-clone water-chiller for a relatively low price (that compared to a unit from the store). I'm wondering if anyone of you tried the following: I want to disconnect stock temperature probe and connect an external one which always measures ambient/room temp, so I can fool the chiller that it never reaches the target temp (lowest that can be set is 4C I think). By doing this the chiller should never sswitch off its compressor and work on full power non-stop, but I'm not sure what temperatures I could expect, so I'm asking if someone tried this with a similar water chiller. Thanks!
  15. You will most probably need to go higher on the temperature, not lower And Sam was asking more about the week of production (the four digits after NBBWE).
  16. I hope reprogramming the chip will do the trick, because it is hard to find DFIs on ebay. It would be a shame if you need to replace yours, it does very high HTref clock.
  17. Nice one! I had problems with my board too, now I think it needs bios reflash from the SPI header or I need to desolder bios chip and reflash in programmer. Managed to run R15 at 6650, but no new R11.5 score.
  18. Yep, N5 barely holds its max frequency for a very short time at full load, then throttles to much lower frequency. This cpu clock is only on paper Not that much apps use all cores though.
  19. And throttling. Need to cool it down like Hiwa, otherwise a mid/low-end MTK device @ 1.2GHz beats this...
  20. I've said it before, but I've tested about 6-8 (or maybe even less, don't remember really ) chips during last 2-3 years. I thought 7GHz might be possible, but the cpu is quite intolerant to voltage.
  21. kotori-san, it was not needed. Sorry if I made it sound that I don't trust you. It's a very good score, I could do about 740 with X2, but need to work more. Latency with Opteron is higher, so it's not an option and Expert board is more efficient than Ultra-D. CPU frequency does not help - it could only reduce latency by 0.1ns or so.
  22. No, latency is higher and score is lower. I think the key here is dual-core with 2x512MB L2, not 2x1024 like Opteron/FX
