I wonder if 3000mhz memory is possible cl7-8, might chuck on the ek memory pot soon to see how far it can go ?

Yeah my couple i3 chips do 5.3 at -30, not tested water.....i know also after now testing one other board that there is a big difference in qpi scaling....my same chip can't do as high qpi as in my current board. So I'll prob look to find some other cheap boards to try

Yeah I was just having joke with ya sam, yeah has so many limiting factors with blck oc. This CPU of mine is the only 540 I've tested, as not want to pay lot for them i would need to test test more with psc but dropping qpi multi down one and pushing memory along with qpi to say 5000-5300 again more blck 5600-6000ghz CPU would fly, along with the nb freq boost....given it's good CPU along with it plays nice on cold PSc.Ive not tested psc on the 540 tho

Going on his 6.5ghz 1m time I'm sure its possible he have around a 32m 6.3ghz result somewhere

Yeah qpi gives good boost on the "i3" chips but don't expect to see 350-400mhz boost in eff from qpi like seen in the 32m results ?

Yeah have few different chips, and most go ok on scaling QPI but is a couple that won't go quite as high Lewis you should have a play, it's a nice platform thanks guys

So had a quick play PSC on cold, running 4GHz and 38xx NB...on the 1090t and 2200Mhz 6-9-6-21--24....getting about 6-12 loops then shutting down, times in the 15m-57s if get it to pass. Has so much more in it just a matter putting it all together

Was untested cold memory and memory wasn't fully prepped correct, you know heatsinks on. also keep dram volts little low.....When I run again ill use correct pot and memory with no Heatsink on. it should do trcd 8 then and maybe at 2500Mhz....got to save some stuff for improvements later hey? ahahahha Is quite possible that memory was under -100 as I had the probe in the top of the memory heatsink lol

Ran the 1156 Platform up today....870 ...P55a Ud5 with cold PSC....Memory temps ranged from -110 to -140....little more learnt today

Thought it be fun to start memory oc thread on 1156 platform, I've not long been testing this platform but I like it, here's a couple runs I did a while ago on cold PSC. I've spent little more time on it since then and will post some more results with PSC and hypers. All welcome to post some results, if you don't you know I will ?let us know your memory and board of choice, I currently using the P55a ud5 Gigabyte and have a P55a ud6 on the way to try

I also have the rev 2.1, testing it for a little while now, its quite efficient......low memory here along with low NB freq. Im on my SS as no LN2 yet, dram 1.89v, board and this bios seems quite good on dram volts.....yes NB freq is little harder at all same settings as my other boards.

Yeah haven't had time to sit down and work it out, but it says can boost 25 sec in 32m....if true it's a must have.

Oh, I just bought 775 platform and this is all new to me....need to look over this and work it all out, thanks for sharing
