  1. Not because of that. Because of it's ranking system. 1st submission get's the top ranking and all the rest get nothing (i mean less and less points). At least that's what i see right now. Country cup is not a speedy competition with a narrow time frame. All teams must have a reasonable time to prepare and a fair chance to fight for 1st place. You cant write , that there is a soft launch at 15/07/2015 Then wait for full throttle at 01/08/2015. The stage ends 15/09/2015 But the top ranking goes to the 1st submission. Come on. Where does it say that this is a time frame stage ?
  2. The target score stage , is a fail , for this kind of competition. Think about it.
  3. In such "home-made" systems , you cant really tell , what king of gas was used. NL11F is a small compressor , designed for R134A gas but it can tolerate an R404A gas. R507 is a bit more brutal gas , and some people chose it , to gain 4-5C lower temps. But you need more cooling power down to the heat exchanger. If your problem is minor , you can give your phase-change a tiny blind zip of R404 and see if things get better.
  4. All this situation , is overclocking history beeing lost. But , we have to accept that person's decision. I'm pretty sure that Sam keeps a good file with his results and records. So , if he changes his mind ... he will bring them back. Now , regarding the top scores beeing lost (for both Karl and sam), you can create a small text area , in each hardware category , with a mention part , such us : sam.ocx not participating at hwbot rankings had a top score of xxxxx That'a a thought.
  5. This kind (2400CL9) of memory kit , even though it's used , often have a price tag more than a brand new 2400CL10 kit. Furthermore since 2400 CL9-11-11 kit sure is well binned Samsung chips they keep a high price rate. Also consider that , you cant find such speed spec anymore. I dont know what you paid for it. But i personally bought the same ram kit , early 2013 @ 124.00 euro.
  6. Have a look here http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=131285 Look at the description of the contest at the top of the page. Also look at the post Antinomy made. I have the impression that we settled at single 6600GT.
  7. Just pointed out an other fact , to take into consideration for future events. That's why , there must always be wallpapers for each event. As for the exact submission i am talking about , in my opinion , things are pretty clear.
  8. A bench-result run on April but submitted June , is considered valid ?
  9. I cant clearly recall , but i think we had agreed on single 6600GT for this stage. Can somebody please clarify ?
  10. You must delete it , before people start submit results into that category. As i already wrote , "XT" is just a Sapphire model , that defines their 7870 tahiti based card.
  11. Just noticed something that looks weird (in my opinion). A team takes 3rd place in both stages ... and finishes 5th overall ???
  12. Somebody added this vga type (recently) ? http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/radeon_hd_7870_xt_tahiti_core/ Why ? We already had it added http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/radeon_hd_7870_tahiti_core/ "XT" is just the Sapphire mark for the tahiti based 7870's
  13. TASOS

Can you be more specific ?
  14. I even see top ranking members , NOT considering your advice at the moment. Not talking abour Novice only , same goes for Challenger series too. ?

  20. Starting this thread to share grief and pain about legendary socket A boards that gone ashtray. My biggest loss so far. A DFI Ultra-B gone dead after using an XPM-2000+ low voltage cpu. Booted once , got into bios , load optimized defaults, save & exit =>end of story. Runner-up loss ABIT NF7-S v2.0 gone dead after testing max mem. overclock on a pair o D43's
  21. I cant accept , that there is not a proper bios tool available , to import microcode to an early phoenix-award bioses. There has to be a solution. I tried 2 versions of the award bios flash tool ... but no go.
