  1. Nice Try to use FIC PA-2013 motherboard with 2 MB cache version. Blue screen can be fixed by turning off (ACPI=0 in CPUZ.ini) and maybe some other options set to "0".
  2. On my Asus P4C800 and P4P800, I measured vNB and vCore and there's no relationship between those. I didn't noticed it. There is a MOSFET working as linear regulator, it provides vNB. This voltage is short-circuited with vAGP as far as I remember. vAGP is 1.5 V (3.0 version), in BIOS max is 1.6 V. I could say you need cold on CPU to pass this wall. Maybe higher vCore will be needed. Adding more capacitors to vNB and vCore (low ESR) may help you also. Edit: CL2.5 is also very helpfull
  3. So you have to mod your's motherboard. These chipsets are doing ~330 MHz easily (vNB around 1.6-1.7 is needed). My P4C800 did ~310 @ 1.4 V or 1.5 V vNB. Keep pushing
  4. Please, tell me guys, how can you see it's bugged? I always run this benchmark with default settings, I don't like UCBench.
  5. Just underclock this one and run Prime95 parallelly, then run 3DMark again You can also set lowest process priority to 3DMark. I don't know what else you can do to achieve 0 points.
  6. This score was done with single channel. PCI graphic card was making my platform less stable, and AGP card was better. Maybe you, have a better CPU. To make higher frequency score I decided to connect 8800 GTX zombie and it helped me a bit, so I am pretty shure it is a north bridge wall. I will buy some 478 cpus, then will try to find maximum of this motherboard
  7. Now it's changed. I made a mistake while uploading screenshot, thanks my friend
  8. This is a bug when you are submitting eg. Q6600 and then E8400 and using data from last submission. Please move or edit those 2 other submissions in this category.
  9. This is quiet funny I think It was very brave, did 2nd place... literally fought to the end.
  10. My BH-5 HyperX can work @ CL3.0: Valid - Photo - MSI 648 MAX / SIS chipset Valid - Photo - AsRock 775i65G / i865G chipset and pictures of these mems: Pic1 Pic2 I wasn't able to do CL3 with NF2 and NF4 chipsets. Didn't tested it on higher speeds and voltages. Rare, but possible thing
  11. Nice Gigio! Try with AGP card, it's funny, but I had a better score with AGP card. And what is 1.7 vMEM? You made a mistake, maybe 2.7 V ? What vNB?
  12. Nice score! Is there tRCWD 2 real? I think it's Elpida Hyper, am I right?
  13. I was thinking about this recently, when ocing 478 (i875P). Is this limited by chipset (PLLs or dividers/(basic logic counters/registers in chipset)) or it depends on clock generator? It will be interesting for example to run old Asus CUSL2 on FSB 210 MHz, RAM 170 MHz, PCI 33 MHz, AGP 66 MHz using not dividers, but separate clock generators... or are those dividers and multipliers "hidden" inside chipset (which is memory controller on this platform). Interesting.
  14. Hi, I was overclocking my EP45 - UD3R recently. I have very good E8400, did ~660 MHz FSB on P5E3 Premium and ~640 on Rampage Formula X48. I know these motherboards good. Using the same processor on UD3R I noticed, that 600 FSB is possible only on "auto" settings. I will make a small thread about overclicking on this platform. I can say that when P5E3 did Stable 600 FSB on: vCore 1.3 V vTT 1.2 V vNB 1.413 V vPLL 1.526 SKEW CPU +400 SKEW NB +100 tWR 10 tRTP 5 Gigabyte EP45-UD3R wasn't able to work using these settings... but if AUTO, it works, BUT IT SETS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS VOLTAGES! EG. All Auto, ram 1:1, timings 5-5-5-15, booting on 500 MHz and it sets: vCore 1.35 vNB 1.4 vPLL 1.85 V ! ! ! vTT 1.6 V ! ! ! vMEM 2.0 V I was doing it on AIR and my heart was beating ten times faster because of this stupid motherboard. I never set above 1.45 VTT, it's extremely dangerous. I have lots of screenshots, will put these data to math sheet and find proporties and ratios or something.
  15. New problems on my way, 1.destroyed partition, reinstall (6th time), 2.SOYO motherboard is not stable(memory problems, bluescreen while installation, black screen (no VGA signal)), Just repaired my old ET4000AX graphics card with 1MB memory 92year PHOTO - ICS 9214's DIP socket destroyed by motherboard battery leakage, cleaned DIP of "MUSIC" chip, replaced crystal 14.3 MHz and rusty legs of memory cleaned also. Now it's working Photos of my motherboards: SOYO 1 SOYO 2 PL4600 1 PL4600 2 Working Soyo Disk errors It turned out that PL4600 motherboard has no L2 cache, I don't know why I didn't noticed this. PL4600 and Am486DX4-100 = SPI 1MB in something like 50 minute because of no cache and pagefile problems (as always:( ). I have to make Soyo more stable first, then I will back to this project.
  16. Sam - have you any ideas about adding any new mods ? Whad mods have you used to Abit IC7 ? Just realized that P4 478 have no VTT voltage. It's more interesting, because of my AsRock 775i65G is just newer version of P4i65G with 775 socket (865G chipet). 775i65G was able to run with xeon E5205 which is wolfdale 6 MB. As far it did ~350 MHz with E2140 core LINK. It's very interesting because of 775 CPUs have VTT, and 478 heven't. Maybe something like GTLREF voltage should be modded (2/3*VCC)... Edit: Just done ~350 MHz FSB with Dual Channel DDR1 (3:2) @ i875P (P4C800 dlx) at the same voltages. Seems like chipset wants to "better" conditions (LN2), no need to change my P4C800 to IC7 I think.
  17. Well, it was wall ot my Celeron 1.2GHz. Today I did >350 MHz on P4C800 Dlx. Best vNB was around 1.82-1.87V, vCore best for this Northwood was 1.950-1.975 and CL2.5 of course http://valid.canardpc.com/gkelr9 vSB mod was needed. Raising vSB from 3.5V to around 3.75-3.9 gave me no USB freezes and more stability >340 MHz. Maybe it's time to do VTT mod (don't know if isn't it connected somewhere, eg. to vNB). Now I'm wondering how much "pct Intel OC" WRs are going to be done in comming month
