  1. I see 3D having a major problem that 3D never stays truly 3D. Unigine is now a single core CPU test. FS/FSE are dominated by 5960Xs. Also FSE is a paid benchmark. Catzilla 1440p is also a paid benchmark. Most old free benchmarks are CPU tests for the most part and many of them won't even run on win 7 much less 8 or 10. Then the another problem is that there are so damn many GPUs. 1 generation is at least 8 cards per vendor. These 8 cards get spread across the 60K community of HWbot and because of that the Hardware points that you can get with most of those cards are garbage. Say you put a GTX 950 under LN2. That's worth a whole 2 points. If there was some way to group GPUs together so that the HWpoints were less spread out then more people would bench 3D. For example the 7790 260X should be together. The 260 and 360 should also be together. The 285 and 380 should be grouped. You get where I'm heading with this right? By grouping as many re-branded GPUs as possible the HW points for them would go up and 3D would be a little bit more worth it. Because right now even really popular cards like the 680/780 are worth only 20-30 HWpoints. The best way to get points on 3D ATM is to buy old cards and run them with way overpowered CPUs.
  2. Yeah I get the difference between a fat pot and slim pot when it comes to keeping the temps under control but what if my target temp is -196C. Then it doesn't matter right? Also there's a good chance that I might go up to 3/4 way LN2. That is if keeping 1 card happy isn't too difficult.
  3. So I've gotten myself 3 Fury Xs and a regular Fury. Since Extreme Addict said he didn't get any cold bugs I figured I would try at least 1 of my cards on LN2. Now because I'm kinda short on money(I just spent it all on Fury Xs) I was wondering how much difference there is between a slim pot and fat pot if I'm just trying to run the card as cold as possible. From what I know a slim pot would be better for keeping the card really cold and a fat pot is better for keep the temperature steady.
  4. According HWbot rules if you manage to run a water loop with -30C coolant it's still considered normal water cooling and won't push you into extreme league.
  5. Dude go into CCC/Crimson and set tesselation to OFF. It's a legal tweak on HWbot and will give you a nice boost in points.
  6. have you tried using the bulldozer conditioner? Also 5Ghz nice job!
  7. Set Vcore to 1.6V and disable all bu 2 cores. That's the easiest way to get a high valid.
  8. Try use the Bulldoze Conditioner from here: http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=86959 It will greatly boost you score
  9. Yep. This is with no voltage. I have big plans for the Fiji cards. Possibly quad-fire definitely Tri-Fire

    Good 5960x

So this chip will do 47/47 on 1.3V core 1.4V uncore with 1.9VIN and 1.51V VL6. What kind of clocks/CL can it do with RAM. Would 3200mhz CL11 be doable with the right sticks?
  11. Sweet score dude. Any chance of 2800 CL9 or a re-run with 2666 8-12-8-28?
  12. Go into catalyst and turn off tesselation. Also go and download this: http://downloads.hwbot.org/downloads/tools/ATISetLod.exe Use it to set LOD to 27. Are you running any voltage on GPU core?
  13. Dude you need to do a Extreme preset run with this card. I'll post a list of AMD 3D tweaks to /r/overclocking soon.
  14. Just try googling plasti dip for your region. In the CZ there are several stores that specialize in selling plastidip I'd expect there to be similar for where you live
  15. I'm guessing that the foam you put on top of the eraser was lifting the pot a little. Tightening up the springs more would have solved that. Still a good run for it being your first time.
  16. That's not true just post your new (extreme)overclocking achievement to /r/overclocking and you'll get a pile of upvotes.
  17. If I get together with a group of people and we lend each other memory and chips and stuff does it count as sharing or is it only sharing if 2 people post scores with 2 identical systems. I'm asking because I wanna try setup an irl overclocking club and sharing hardware would be a noce way to lower costs.
