If that's as Samsung as it looks, you could pull that tRFC time in by 80-100 cycles couldn't you?

That happened to me until I updated GPU-Z. Older versions crashed the system.

I do not think the G.Skill RAM @ 1200MHz is intented for Z79. Not all s2011 CPUs have an IMC strong enough for 1200MHz. 1066MHz should work with the right timings though....have you tried making the timings slacker? It's also possible it's partly down to 4x4GB. What is your tRAS and tRFC for example?

I'll be testing on another board within the next week or two. If the behaviour is a function of temperature, can that be classed as damage?

Any good batches that it's possible to buy? We're putting emphasis on voltage for 5GHz and IMC...... I'd like to see binning info on what chips can do with PCI-E controller. 3213B472 CR... PCI-E problems start at -65. By "useful" temperatures, forced to PCI-E 1.1, else crash during windows load. L212B308. No problems that I remember

Offtopic, but this is something that really bothers me about global trade. I don't understand how it can be cost efficient (especially in gas and diesel) to get stock into a shipping container, get it to a port, send it across an ocean, transport it to a factory, work on it, then do the same thing in reverse. ESPECIALLY when it's just the addition of a plastic and card sleeve that has almost zero material or skill value. I mean....REALLY.

It could only "be the GPU" if it's down to the behaviour of the GPU with this particular PCI-E controller.....so it comes back to CPU. The GPUs have been tested on three different chipsets. Four, including Z77 today.

Look at all that wasted packaging I'm guessing you got a good price for them, else £9x200 = £1800 and on thermal paste, that's f***ing mental.

*sigh* I couldn't even run PCI-E 2.0 when the CPU was past maybe -70...had to use 1.1...which was GREAT for efficiency Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone noticed/ does anyone know if the problems are worse with multi-GPU/ PCI-E load?? I'm seeing more and more places where a good Sandy would give me better scores. The efficiency would be on another (better) planet
