it's almost like an variable resistor with an lcd screen and buttons, it's pretty amazing and so is the oc panel, you solder a wire from the asus oc panel to a matching point on the gpu to gain voltage control thru oc panel

it looks like I finally figured it out. Maybe I was installing the amd sdk wrong. I used my hd5450 and installed catalyst 14.2 beta 1.3 and my first couple tests 4/512 was faster than 1/64 and it seemed normal again. Of course right as I figured it out I had trouble with cold bug on mocf so I had to stop but I think as long as chip is ok, tonight should be awesome. Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's help, especially mat and Jason.

Man I had so much trouble my first cold session with non-k oc. This board will be great for regular oc because I will just do everything in os. But with non-k oc I guess the memory kept changing speeds and I kept causing a cold reboot when leaving bios. So I would have to go all the way back down to around -100 to boot and then try and pull down again but I kept causing cold reboots. Once it happened like 3 times I had so much moisture I was afraid to keep going and risk killing gem chip. I have cbkv - 2.22v, vccpll 1.6v, cpu pll 1.65, dmi 1.5v. These are the settings I use on m8e except I use level 6 bandwidth so I saw Nick mention that's 2.8v but I was afraid to type in that much. with the m8e I can bench full pot and reboot anytime even cold reboot at -175c with this chip. It has no reset bug like my others. I was so upset because I wanted to get the gpupi 2 core first place with this board and then go for geek but for me it was tough. I guess I need a lot more practice with the board. I hate even posting this because I love the board so much but it was a rough night.

the newest matrix samsung bios will work fine. Someone mentioned that hotwire isnt really working so the only resistor I removed is the one for cold slow. But ocp kicks in around close to 1.5v.

ok thanks, damn thought I found something. I never had trouble with gpupi before. Got some really nice scores with gtx 980 and 5960x. Only the non k cpu's are giving me trouble.

ya it's just strange because the top scores for dual core are 6100's and are using 4/512. I'm sorry I'm probably being so annoying but Im just so confused. Even switched mobos today and did fresh install and didnt disable any services and 1/64 and 4/512 are still about 7sec apart with 1/64 being faster. The bigger my batch size the higher my reduction time is. With gpupi 2.2 am I supposed to have opencl drivers in the gpupi folder, like the cuda drivers are? Because I dont have those in my folder when I download gpupi.

thanks a lot, are there m-die 4gb chips also, are these them? if there are 4gb chips, do you know if there is any difference performance wise 4vs8? Sorry for all the questions, want to try them out. I will give it a shot, the only memory benchmark I have done with this same system is geekbench and when I look at my memory scores compared with others they seem perfectly normal. If my bandwidth was off the memory score part of this bench would probably be affected also right? Will run aida. Also isnt it strange that 1/64 and 4/512 are so far apart. 1/64 is very close to normal and 4/512 isnt. Strong Island`s Geekbench3 - Multi Core score: 14551 points with a Core i3 6100

hey guys, does anyone know if this is the new die from hynix we were talking about a couple pages ago? Would love to try them cold on this board, finally going to start using it tonight. ya asus stopped putting in bios since the new boards only support back to win 7. I enabled it in the os and it didnt change anything. This is so strange, it's the only bench I have ever had an issue that I couldnt eventually figure out. I guess I should try with different mobo and cpu.

I opened the text file in the gpupi folder after doing 2 runs. And it said something like timer speed only 3605097hz and hpet timer not found. I know I have that number wrong but it was something similar. Does this mean anything? I have no hpet option in bios. Last night I turned to a very stable 4.5ghz and 1/64 gives me 25sec after first batch and 4/512 gives me 32sec. I dont finish the entire run because it takes awhile and I can see how far I am still off by first batch time.

well with the non-k oc we cant change multi so cpu and cache always same speed. this cpu was doing 6.5ghz last night in all benches gpupi also. i tried slower speeds and it's off. other memory benches work ok. i guess i will try with different mobo tonight. do you have any clue why i would need 1/64 and my 4/512 is so off. like over 7sec a batch. does that point towards anything. the reason its so frustrating is because my cpu can do a 100mhz higher than #1 score so i should have #1 even with bad efficiency, really crazy. i also did switch to win 7 64 bit. i have a asrock mocf so maybe i should try that. i have been going nuts with this for weeks. its a stage in division 3 round 2 also and is making me lose the competition. i also want to say thank you for all your quick replies and being so helpful. sorry if im annoying, its the only bench i cant figure out.

its really wierd but i still cant figure it out. i did fresh install and switched to 4gb sticks instead of 8gb. turned memory to almost stock. i was benching i3 6100 at 6.4ghz and when i use 4m 512 reduction i get like 25sec after first batch compared to others who have 18sec. so i tried 1m 64 reduction and started to see just about 19sec after first batch so it was close but still a second off and every batch started losing more time. i got 8min 40sec but still like 30sec off. why wouldnt i be able to do 4m 512 like everyone else, could it be a service i disable.?
-
wow so that's over a minute right there which would make my score a lot more normal. I thought I tried with stock memory but maybe not. I'm so excited, going to retry tonight. Thanks so much for your help. I really hope it's the memory.

thanks so much for your help. Thats what I did. I used the newest amd app sdk and installed the amd open cl drivers, I didnt even install the intel ones. Especially with the non k processors the amd version is a must. But if you look at my score its way off. The person right next to me in the rankings has same score at 5.2ghz and I am at almost 6ghz, it's like I am missing something so major but cant figure it out.
